White Sox's Tyler Davis: Reinstated, optioned Monday

Davis was reinstated from the bereavement list and optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
Davis has been away from the team since being placed on the bereavement list Wednesday. He'll report to Triple-A after being reinstated. The right-hander didn't surrender a run in 4.1 frames out of the bullpen during his latest stint in the big leagues.

Closer Seranthony Dominguez worked each of the past two days for the White Sox, opening the door for Davis to claim his first save of the season Sunday. Davis has made 13 relief appearances for the White Sox since his big-league debut April 25, and while he hasn't been bad, his 3.45 ERA across 15.2 innings doesn't stand out either. This outing snapped a streak of three consecutive scoreless appearances for the right-hander, while the earned runs were his first allowed since May 8. Davis has now given up eight runs (six earned) while posting a 12:8 K:BB in 13.2 innings since the beginning of the month.
