Rockies' Charlie Condon: Pushing for promotion
Condon went 30-for-73 (.411) with 12 home runs, two doubles, five triples, 31 RBI and a 10:19 BB:K over his last 19 games with Triple-A Albuquerque.
Condon was the third pick in the loaded 2024 MLB Draft, and he is doing all he can to join a host of talented classmates at the top level. While Condon appears ready to see action at the big-league level, the Rockies are getting quality production at the two positions Condon has filled this season -- first base and right field -- so it's unclear just how close he is to getting the call.

Rockies' Charlie Condon: Back in action at Triple-A
Condon (cyst) made his return to the Triple-A Albuquerque lineup Tuesday and has gone 3-for-10 with a solo home run, a walk and three additional runs while starting in the team's past two games.
Condon was held out of action for a little under a week after having a cyst removed, but he's resumed raking since getting the green light to play. Through seven games this season, Condon is slashing .357/.455/.714 with three home runs and one stolen base across 33 plate appearances. The 22-year-old first baseman/outfielder is putting himself in strong position to make his MLB debut at some point in 2026.

Rockies' Charlie Condon: Cyst removed, nearing return
Condon has been out of the lineup for Triple-A Albuquerque the past three games, but he had a cyst removed and is expected back in the next couple days, Christian Saez of TheDNVR.com reports.
The report does not specify where exactly the cyst was located, but regardless it sounds like Condon will be back in action in short order. Arguably the Rockies' top prospect, the 22-year-old Condon already has a two-homer game this season and has hit safely in four of five contests with Albuquerque.

Rockies' Charlie Condon: Doesn't make Opening Day roster
The Rockies reassigned Condon to minor-league camp Thursday.
Condon has hit very well this spring, slashing .385/.457/.718 with three home runs, four doubles and nine RBI through 20 games. However, he's yet to play beyond Double-A in the minors, so Colorado has opted to give him more time to develop on the farm. With that said, the Rockies are far from loaded at first base, so Condon could be up with the big club in short order, especially if he has a hot start to the campaign.

Rockies' Charlie Condon: To open in minors
Condon's MLB debut is not imminent, despite a strong spring training, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Condon is hitting .419 with three home runs in 16 games this spring, but he is not on the 40-man roster and only played 55 games at Double-A last year and zero games at Triple-A. Additionally, 25-year-old T.J. Rumfield is having an even better camp, with four home runs, five walks and one strikeout in 14 games, and 28-year-old Troy Johnston is also hitting .333 with a .419 OBP in 15 games. If Condon goes to Triple-A and produces up to his recent standards in the Arizona Fall League (.873 OPS) and in spring training, he'll get the call sometime this summer.

Rockies' Charlie Condon: Hitting well to start spring
Condon has gone 6-for-10 with two home runs and four RBI across six Cactus League appearances.
It's a small sample, but Condon has had an impressive start to spring training. He popped a home run to the opposite field Thursday and now has only two strikeouts across his first 12 plate appearances. Condon is in the mix for a roster spot at first base, though he'll likely start the season in the upper minors.
