Twins' Woo-suk Go: Added to bullpen
The Twins selected Go's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.
Go was acquired via trade from the Tigers on Sunday and is reporting directly to the major-league roster. The Korean reliever holds a 1.96 ERA and 54:13 K:BB over 41.1 innings between the Double- and Triple-A levels this season. Go -- who turns 28 in August -- will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

Twins' Woo-suk Go: Sent to Minnesota
The Twins acquired Go from the Tigers on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Go opened the season in Double-A Erie before being promoted to Triple-A Toledo in early May. Across 19 outings at Triple-A, he has posted a 2.60 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, two saves and a 32:11 K:BB across 27.2 innings. The 27-year-old righty has yet to make his MLB debut, but he should get the chance to do so soon; Dan Hayes of The Athletic relays that Go will be added to the 40-man roster and formally added to the 26-man active roster Tuesday.

Tigers' Woo-suk Go: Inks MiLB pact with Tigers
The Tigers signed Go to a minor-league contract Monday.
Go has been limited to just 15.1 innings this season due to a fractured finger, but he had pitched well at Triple-A Jacksonville in the Marlins organization before being released last week, yielding one run with a 5:1 K:BB over 5.1 frames. The 26-year-old signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Padres back in January of 2024 but has yet to pitch in the big leagues.

Woo-suk Go: Cut by Marlins
The Marlins released Go on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Go spent the first several months of the season working his way back from a fractured finger, but he's given up just one run in 5.2 innings at Triple-A Jacksonville since returning from the IL. The 26-year-old righty owns a 3.71 ERA across 26.2 frames in his Triple-A career, so other teams may be interested in bringing Go in on a minor-league deal.

Go (finger) allowed one hit and struck out one across a scoreless inning for Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
Go began the 2025 season on the 7-day injured list due to a fractured right index finger, and he's since been cleared to return to Triple-A after wrapping up a rehab assignment. He's fired a pair of scoreless frames since being activated from the IL, striking out two batters in the process.

Go was diagnosed with a fractured right index finger Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
He will be re-evaluated in a couple weeks. Go spent all of the 2024 season in the minors, holding a 6.54 ERA and 52:22 K:BB over 52.1 innings and the Double- and Triple-A levels. He was removed from the Marlins' 40-man roster last June.

Go was designated for assignment last week and after clearing waivers, he'll stick around in the Marlins organization at Jacksonville. The 25-year-old owns a 3.00 ERA in nine innings with Jacksonville and has yet to make his MLB debut.

Marlins' Woo-suk Go: Designated for assignment
The Marlins designated Go for assignment Thursday, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Shaun Anderson, who was acquired via trade from the Rangers. Go was just picked up in a trade himself in the deal earlier this month that sent Luis Arraez to the Padres. The 25-year-old has spent the duration of the season in the minors, posting a 3.80 ERA and 18:6 K:BB over 21.1 innings between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A Jacksonville.

Marlins' Woo-suk Go: Sent to Miami in Arraez deal
The Padres traded Go, Dillon Head, Nathan Martorella and Jakob Marsee to the Marlins on Friday in exchange for Luis Arraez, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
The Padres signed Go to a two-year deal in January with the expectation that he would serve as a high-leverage option out of the bullpen. However, a poor performance during spring training caused the 25-year-old reliever to be optioned to Triple-A and later demoted again to Double-A San Antonio, where he has posted a 4.38 ERA and 1.49 WHIP with a 15:4 K:BB through 12.1 innings. The Marlins may be willing to give Go a chance in the majors given their depleted pitching staff and relatively weak bullpen, but his Double-A stats don't spark much optimism.

The Marlins optioned Go to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.
Go was part of the Padres' trade package to acquire Luis Arraez on Friday. Before the trade, Go was demoted to Double-A San Antonio, where he has posted a 4.38 ERA and 1.49 WHIP over 12.1 frames. He'll start his career in the Marlins' system with Triple-A Jacksonville and look to work his way to the big club.

Padres' Woo-suk Go: Optioned to Triple-A
The Padres optioned Go to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.
Go had been a candidate to pitch in high-leverage situations when he signed a two-year deal with the Padres in January, but he will instead head to the minors after giving up six runs in 4.1 innings during Cactus League play. Go's stay in the minors doesn't figure to be a long one -- it's likely San Diego promotes him to its bullpen once the 25-year-old is able to build some positive momentum versus Triple-A hitters.
