Braves' Drue Hackenberg: Activated at Double-A
Double-A Columbus reinstated Hackenberg (undisclosed) from its 7-day injured list Thursday.
Hackenberg has yet to make an appearance since being activated, but he's ostensibly healthy again after missing just over a month of action with an unspecified injury. The 23-year-old righty owns a 7.03 ERA and 1.83 WHIP in 24.1 innings with Columbus on the season.

Braves' Drue Hackenberg: Shut down at Double-A
Double-A Columbus placed Hackenberg on its 7-day injured list May 15 due to an unspecified injury.
Hackenberg has posted a 7.03 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 19:18 K:BB over 24.1 innings in his eight starts on the season, and it's possible that the injury had something to do with his rough performance. Atlanta hasn't provided any word regarding the nature of the injury or when he might return, but Hackenberg could have his workload monitored carefully once he's ultimately cleared to pitch again.

Braves' Drue Hackenberg: Fans 16 in Double-A outing
Hackenberg struck out 16 batters over seven innings for Double-A Mississippi on Sunday, allowing one run on three hits without walking a batter.
The 22-year-old right-hander dominated an overmatched Pensacola lineup, and the 16 strikeouts were the highest single-game total in the minor leagues this season. Hackenberg began 2024 with High-A Rome and earned a promotion in late June with a 3.64 ERA and 62:28 K:BB through 12 starts. A second-round pick in 2023 out of Virginia Tech who got an over-slot bonus of $2 million, Hackenberg is still working on developing a third pitch, but when everything is in sync the way it was Sunday, he pounds the zone with a mid-90s sinker and solid slider.
