Beavers fouled a ball off his lower leg during his at-bat in the fourth inning and was replaced on defense once the O's took the field in the bottom of the frame. Following a 10-game stretch in which he went batted .148 (4-for-27), Beavers has three extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs, in his last two contests. The 24-year-old rookie is slashing .277/.423/.470 with three long balls, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through his first 105 plate appearances in the big leagues.

Beavers knocked an RBI triple in the fifth inning before belting a two-run homer in the seventh. It was his second career long ball and first since Aug. 21, snapping a 20-game drought. Beavers owns a strong .275/.420/.438 slash line with eight extra-base hits and 11 RBI through his first 101 plate appearances, but he has only one steal in two attempts for Baltimore after going 23-for-28 on the basepaths at Triple-A Norfolk prior to his promotion.
Beavers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Beavers started in each of the first eight games for the Orioles upon getting called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Aug. 16, but he will begin Monday's series opener on the bench. The Orioles faced all righties during those eight games and are going up against a left-handed opener in Brennan Bernardino on Monday, but the left-handed-hitting Beavers won't necessarily be deployed exclusively as a strong-side platoon player over the final five weeks of the season. Beavers will give up his spot in left field to Dylan Carlson on Monday.
