Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Fans 10 in win
Suarez (9-6) allowed two runs on four hits and no walks over 6.2 innings to earn the win Monday against Seattle. He struck out 10.
Suarez reached the double-digit K mark for the first time this season out of 19 total starts, as he generated a solid 13 whiffs out of his 102 pitches. The Philadelphia southpaw blanked the Mariners over 6.2 frames but then gave up a solo homer and a hit-by-pitch to wrap his performance (the stranded runner subsequently scored on a homer conceded by reliever Jordan Romano). Through 119 total innings, Suarez has pitched to a 3.25 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 111:29 K:BB while allowing 10 long balls. The 29-year-old is slated to make his next start at home against the Nationals this weekend.

Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Fades late against Cincy
Suarez (8-6) took the loss Tuesday as the Phillies fell 6-1 to the Reds, coughing up six runs on 10 hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.
The southpaw didn't get much run support, but Suarez kept his team in the game until the sixth inning, when a leadoff walk was followed by four straight Cincinnati hits to break things open. Suarez took a 2.15 ERA into the All-Star break, but he's been struggling since, getting tagged for at least five runs in three of his last five starts while stumbling to a 6.59 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 28.2 innings. He'll try to get back on track in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Mariners.

Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Allows five runs in loss
Suarez (8-5) took the loss against the Orioles on Wednesday, allowing five runs on nine hits and no walks with three strikeouts over 6.1 innings.
Suarez was mostly undone by a four-run fourth inning, and his velocity was down on all of his offerings as he generated just six whiffs on 95 pitches. The southpaw has hit a rough patch since the All-Star break, posting a 5.79 ERA with only one quality start over four outings. He'll take a 2.94 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 98:27 K:BB across 107 innings into a road matchup with the Reds early next week.

Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Goes seven strong in no-decision
Suarez did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win over the Tigers, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks with five strikeouts over seven innings.
Suarez was burned by a three-run homer in the third inning but was otherwise excellent, tossing six scoreless frames and retiring the final 10 batters he faced. The southpaw also didn't issue a walk for the first time since June 1 and has now held opponents to three earned runs or fewer in 14 of 16 outings this season. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 95:27 K:BB across 100.2 innings into a home matchup with the Orioles next week.

Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Sharp in eighth win
Suarez (8-4) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings in a 9-4 victory over the Yankees. He struck out eight.
The southpaw fell short of his 12th quality start of the season, but Suarez racked up a whopping 38 called or swinging strikes among his 108 pitches (71 total strikes) as he collected his first win in July. Suarez has given up one run or fewer in six of his last eight outings, a stretch in which he's delivered a 2.50 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB over 50.1 innings. He'll look to stay sharp in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Tigers.
