  • Adam Hall: Elects to become free agent

Hall elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Hall was a second-round selection of the Orioles in the 2017 First-Year Player Draft, but he's battled durability issues throughout his professional career while struggling to climb past the lower levels of the minor leagues. The 24-year-old slashed just .158/.289/.263 in 45 plate appearances this past season between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and High-A Aberdeen.

  • Orioles' Adam Hall: Returns to action at Double-A

Hall (undisclosed) has gone 6-for-24 with two doubles, two walks, two runs, one RBI and three stolen bases in seven games for Double-A Bowie since returning from the 7-day injured list May 19.

The 23-year-old infielder was on the shelf for a little over two weeks due to an unspecified issue. Hall is slashing .291/.380/.349 with a 9-for-9 success rate on stolen-base attempts over his 100 plate appearances at Bowie this season.

  • Orioles' Adam Hall: On injured list

Hall (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Bowie on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The move to the injured list is related to a non-sports injury, and it's unclear how long Hall will be sidelined. He has a .306/.389/.355 slash line with three doubles, five RBI, 11 runs and six stolen bases in 15 games for Bowie this season.

  • Orioles' Adam Hall: Promoted to Bowie

Hall was promoted to Double-A Bowie on Tuesday, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.

Hall has slashed .248./335/.337 with three homers and 26 stolen bases across 81 games with High-A Aberdeen this season. He'll get his first taste of Double-A action to conclude the campaign before looking to continue his ascent through the Baltimore organization in 2022.

  • Orioles' Adam Hall: Back from IL

Hall (quadriceps) made his return from the 7-day injured list Thursday and went 0-for-3 in High-A Aberdeen's 4-3 win over Asheville.

Hall was sidelined for approximately three weeks with a quad strain. The 22-year-old infielder is slashing .248/.341/.333 with three home runs and a 24-for-25 success rate on stolen-base attempts through 255 plate appearances at Aberdeen this season.

  • Orioles' Adam Hall: Joining major-league camp

Hall received an invitation Friday to major-league camp.

Hall's bat is nothing more than decent, but he could stick at shortstop and has the kind of speed that would make him an exciting fantasy option if he does enough to earn regular at-bats. Those at-bats are unlikely to come this season, however, as he's yet to advance beyond Low-A.
