Rogers (9-2) earned the win against the Yankees on Friday, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.
Rogers generated 17 whiffs on a season-high 106 pitches and held the Yankees hitless until the sixth inning. The southpaw has now allowed just 16 earned runs across 17 starts this season, giving up two runs or fewer in all but one outing. He'll carry a 1.35 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 100:26 K:BB over 106.2 innings into a projected road rematch with the Yankees next weekend.

Rogers gave up runs in the third and fifth innings but was otherwise sharp, racking up 16 whiffs while landing 71 of 96 pitches for strikes. While the outing snapped the southpaw's run of 10 straight quality starts, he's still allowed three earned runs or fewer in all 15 of his outings this season. He'll take a 1.51 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 87:20 K:BB across 95.2 innings into a road matchup with the Blue Jays next weekend.

The only run Rogers allowed came on a Willy Adames home run in the first inning. The veteran southpaw was otherwise dominant, surrendering just four singles. Rogers' campaign has been among the best stories in MLB; after posting an ERA no better than 4.00 over his previous three seasons, he's at a minuscule 1.39 ERA across 14 starts spanning 90.1 innings. Per Jake Rill of MLB.com, that mark is the lowest by any Baltimore pitcher through 14 starts in a season, besting Jim Palmer's 1.51 mark in 1975.

Rogers' stretch of outstanding play continued against Houston -- he allowed fewer than two runs for a sixth straight start. He's completed at least seven innings in five of those appearances, owning a 1.07 ERA and a 41:7 K:BB across 42 innings during that stretch. The left-hander has a 1.40 ERA in 83.1 innings this season. He hasn't posted a sub-4.00 ERA since the 2021 campaign. Rogers will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come in San Francisco.
