Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Fans eight in win
Lopez (7-6) yielded three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk over six innings Tuesday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Twins.
Lopez extended his scoreless streak to 25 frames before Matt Wallner knocked an RBI double in the second inning. Brooks Lee and Ryan Jeffers later knocked solo homers in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively. Despite that, Lopez earned his fourth consecutive win and racked up eight punchouts. He's produced a 27:1 K:BB over his last three outings, improving his season K:BB to 111:31. Lopez has registered a 0.60 ERA over his last five starts, dropping his season ERA from 4.60 to 3.28 in the process. He's lined up to take the mound in Seattle this weekend.

Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Stays hot in win
Lopez (6-6) allowed four hits, struck out nine batters and walked none over seven shutout innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Rays.
Lopez continues to look like the Athletics' best starter lately. Over his last four outings, he's posted a 28:6 K:BB across 24 scoreless innings in that impressive stretch. He won't keep this up forever, but his strong second half is showing serious developmental progress. He's now at a 3.30 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 103:30 K:BB through 84.2 innings over 19 appearances (15 starts) this season. Lopez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is projected to be on the road in Minnesota.

Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Dominant vs. Nats
Lopez (5-6) earned the win Thursday over the Nationals, allowing only three hits and no walks over 7.2 scoreless innings. He struck out 10.
It was a stellar performance from Lopez, who set a new season high with his 10 punchouts. The left-hander has delivered 17 consecutive scoreless innings over his last three outings after struggling to a 7.13 ERA in his previous four starts. Overall, Lopez's ERA is down to 3.59 on the year with a 1.25 WHIP and 94:30 K:BB across 77.2 innings. Lopez is currently in line for a home matchup with the Rays his next time out.

Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Collects fourth win
Lopez (4-6) allowed five hits and two walks while striking out five over five scoreless innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Lopez wasn't efficient -- he needed 95 pitches (63 strikes) to get through his five frames -- but he got the job done against a depleted Arizona lineup. The southpaw had a middling July, posting a 5.30 ERA in 18.2 innings across four starts, though he has tossed 9.1 scoreless frames over his last two outings. For the season, Lopez has a 3.99 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 84:30 K:BB through 70 innings over 17 appearances (13 starts), which could make him a serviceable option in deeper mixed and AL-only formats. He's lined up for a favorable road start versus the Nationals next week.

Athletics' Jacob Lopez: Runs up pitch count in no-decision
Lopez did not factor into the decision in Saturday's game against the Astros, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out four across 4.1 innings.
Lopez allowed two baserunners in each of the first two innings of Saturday's start but managed to escape without yielding a run. He finished his outing with 10 whiffs but needed 95 pitches to record just 10 outs, so he could last long enough to pick up the win. Lopez sits at a 4.29 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 65 innings heading into his next start, which is tentatively slated for next weekend at home against the Diamondbacks.
