Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Getting Game 3 start versus lefty
Chisholm will start at second base and bat seventh Thursday in Game 3 of the American League Wild Card Series against the Red Sox.
The left-handed-hitting Chisholm was absent from the lineup in Game 1 versus southpaw ace Garrett Crochet, but he will be in the lineup Thursday against rookie lefty Connelly Early. Chisholm went 0-for-3 but drew a walk and scored the go-ahead run in the Yankees' Game 2 victory.

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Out of lineup against Crochet
Chisholm is absent from the lineup Tuesday for Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series versus the Red Sox.
The left-handed-hitting Chisholm was an everyday player for the Yankees this season, but with tough southpaw Garrett Crochet on the bump for the Red Sox, Chisholm will yield to Amed Rosario at second base. For what it's worth, Chisholm is 0-for-4 with a 1:3 BB:K in his career versus Crochet.

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Cleared for wild-card series
Manager Aaron Boone said that Chisholm (forearm) will be available Tuesday for Game 1 of the Yankees' wild-card series with the Red Sox, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Though he didn't start in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Orioles after being plunked in the left forearm by a pitch a day earlier, Chisholm was deployed off the bench in the regular-season finale, going 0-for-1 with a strikeout while also playing the final two innings at second base. Chisholm has apparently checked out fine following that contest and will be good to go as the Yankees begin their playoff run. With a tough lefty (Garrett Crochet) on the mound for Boston on Tuesday, however, it wouldn't be surprising if the left-handed-hitting Chisholm was held out of the lineup in favor of Amed Rosario, who has gone 6-for-9 against Crochet in his career.

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Out with sore forearm
Chisholm (forearm) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
The AL East crown is still up for grabs, but Chisholm won't be in the lineup after being hit in the left forearm by a pitch in the fifth inning of Saturday's 6-1 win. X-rays were negative, however, and Chisholm said he considers himself available off the bench Sunday even while he's still dealing with some swelling and soreness, per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. With 31 homers and 31 steals on the campaign, Chisholm is one of seven players to join the 30-30 club this season.

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: X-rays on forearm negative
X-rays on Chisholm's left forearm came back negative following his removal from Saturday's game against the Orioles.
Chisholm left Saturday's contest after getting hit by a pitch in the fifth inning. He's also slated to undergo a CT scan to confirm the results of his X-ray, but it seems he managed to escape the incident without any structural damage. The Yankees may decide to sideline the 27-year-old infielder for Sunday's series finale to ensure he's fully healthy for the postseason, which would create an opportunity for Jose Caballero to pick up a start in the infield.

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Exits after HBP
Chisholm was removed from Saturday's game against the Orioles after getting hit on the forearm by a pitch, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
Chisholm immediately made his way into the dugout after taking a 97-mph sinker off his left forearm. The Yankees will presumably take him in for imaging to determine whether he suffered a fracture and should provide more information on his status in the near future.

The left-handed-hitting Chisholm will get a breather as the Orioles send southpaw Trevor Rogers to the hill. Jose Caballero will get the start at second base and bat ninth for the Yankees.
