Yankees' Trent Grisham: Goes yard twice in win
Grisham went 3-for-5 with two solo home runs in Wednesday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Rays.
Long balls in the first and eighth innings contributed to another Yankees barrage, and per Andy Nesbitt of SI.com, they're the first team since the 1999 Reds to launch 14 homers over a two-game span. Grisham has already blown past his previous high for home runs in a season, slugging 23 in 109 contests. Through 17 games in August he's slashing .262/.368/.492 with five homers, eight RBI and 13 runs.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Crosses plate four times in win
Grisham went 4-for-5 with four runs scored and a walk in Saturday's win over the Cardinals.
Grisham didn't drive in any runs of his own Saturday, but he still made his presence felt by crossing the plate four times. It was the second time this season the center fielder notched four hits in a game, with the first coming June 25. The 28-year-old has kept his strong season rolling into August, slashing .269/.377/.442 with three homers and six RBI across 14 games this month.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Plays hero Saturday
Grisham went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Astros.
The center fielder came up clutch, getting hold of a Bryan King fastball in the bottom of the eighth inning and launching it into the second deck in right field to break a 4-4 tie. Grisham continues to add to his career-high homer total of 21, and four of them have come in the last 10 games, a stretch in which he's batting .258 (8-for-31) with a steal, six RBI and seven runs.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Idle Monday
Grisham is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.
Grisham will head to the bench after going 3-for-9 with two home runs and four RBI during the Yankees' three-game weekend series against the Marlins. Austin Slater, Cody Bellinger and Amed Rosario will form the outfield left to right in Monday's series opener.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Reaches 20-homer mark
Grisham went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a loss to Miami on Sunday.
Grisham gave New York a promising start when he led off the contest with a 412-foot solo shot, but the team didn't score again until the seventh inning despite Grisham reaching three times in total. It's been a career-best year for the veteran outfielder -- his 20 home runs are already a career high, and he's on pace for a career-best .830 OPS as well. That production has helped Grisham hold down the starting job in center field, and he's become a fixture atop New York's batting order as well.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Smacks 19th homer Friday
Grisham went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, two additional runs scored and a walk in Friday's 13-12 loss to the Marlins.
Grisham added his 19th homer of the season, and he crossed the plate at least three times on his second occasion this year. Aaron Judge's (elbow) absence has helped solidify Grisham's everyday role, although the latter has done well in his own right to maintain that status. Across his last 30 contests, Grisham has slashed .272/.375/.495 with six big flies, five doubles and 15 RBI.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Resting up Thursday
Grisham is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Rays.
Grisham started the first three games of the series and slugged a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 win in 11 innings, but he'll get a breather for Thursday's matinee. The Yankees will go with Cody Bellinger in center field in the series finale.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Leading off in third straight game
Grisham will start in center field and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.
Grisham has produced a .949 OPS so far this month, and manager Aaron Boone will reward him by including him in the lineup as the leadoff man for a third consecutive matchup with a right-handed pitcher (Chris Bassitt). The outfielder had seemingly moved into more of a part-time role against righties in recent weeks, but Grisham could see more opportunities while Jasson Dominguez -- who has gone 0-for-16 with six strikeouts in his last four games -- continues to slump.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Swats late grand slam
Grisham went 2-for-5 with a double, a grand slam, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Saturday's 12-9 win over Atlanta.
Grisham crushed a go-ahead grand slam off Raisel Iglesias in the ninth inning to lift his team to victory. The center fielder has been a surprise contributor for the Yankees in 2025, posting a .255/.357/.476 slash line with 26 extra-base hits and 38 RBI through 81 games after holding an OPS below .700 in each of the previous three regular seasons. Despite that, he's fallen into less of an everyday role lately, with Jasson Dominguez becoming a fixture in left field.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Sitting against southpaw
Grisham is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
Grisham will take a seat while the Cubs send a lefty (Shota Imanaga) to the hill for the series finale, but the left-handed-hitting outfielder has also been seeing his playing time against right-handed pitching trend down of late. He's been on the bench for three of the Yankees' last four matchups against righties, with manager Aaron Boone seemingly prioritizing Jasson Dominguez in the lineup over Grisham.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: On bench for second straight day
Grisham is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
The left-handed-hitting Grisham will head to the bench for the second day in a row, with both of his absences coming against right-handed starting pitchers. Though he produced three hits in his most recent start Sunday against the Mets and owns an .826 OPS for the season, Grisham may be shifting into more of a fourth-outfielder role while the Yankees make finding playing time for Jasson Dominguez more of a priority. Dominguez will be included in the lineup Wednesday for the seventh time in eight games.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Will be out of lineup Tuesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said on Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast that Grisham will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Mariners.
Grisham has dealt with a hamstring issue recently, and while he's considered healthy, Boone wanted to give him a second straight rest day after Monday's team off day. Jasson Dominguez will lead off for the Yankees on Tuesday, with Cody Bellinger likely to handle center field.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Homers in return
Grisham went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks against the Blue Jays in Thursday's loss.
Grisham returned to the lineup after beginning on the bench in each of New York's previous two games due to a hamstring injury. The veteran outfielder reached three times in his return, with his lone hit being a solo blast to center field in the third inning. Grisham is up to 16 home runs through 74 games this season -- his career high is 17 long balls, which he slugged over 152 contests with the Padres in 2022.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Back in lineup Thursday
Grisham (hamstring) will start in center field and bat leadoff in Thursday's game versus the Blue Jays.
Grisham didn't start the previous two contests after left hamstring tightness forced him from Monday's series opener. However, he's feeling well enough to give it a go in Thursday's series finale as the Yankees try to avoid being swept.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Remains out Wednesday
Grisham (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Toronto.
Grisham has thus far avoided the 10-day injured list, but his left hamstring issue will keep him out of the lineup for a second straight day. Cody Bellinger is again occupying center field for the Yankees on Wednesday.

Yankees' Trent Grisham: Likely headed to injured list
Grisham (hamstring) is likely to be placed on the 10-day injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Grisham had to depart Monday's contest in Toronto with a tight left hamstring. He was seen testing out the hamstring in the outfield pregame Tuesday but evidently didn't feel well enough to avoid a likely trip to the IL. Grisham would be eligible for activation July 11, but with the All-Star break looming shortly after that, there's a good chance the Yankees would hold him back at least until the start of the second half. Cody Bellinger will handle center field while Grisham is out, opening up more starts in left field for Jasson Dominguez.
