Padres' Miguel Andujar: Finishes homer shy of cycle
Andujar went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 win over the Giants.
Andujar saw an eight-game hitting streak end Monday, but he bounced back with his second three-hit effort of the season. While he wasn't able to complete a cycle, Andujar has shown some power with a pair of homers over his last six games. He's been pretty good overall this season, batting .322 with an .869 OPS, two homers, 10 RBI, nine runs scored, seven doubles, two triples and a stolen base over 25 contests. There should be room for Andujar in the lineup as long as his bat stays hot.

Padres' Miguel Andujar: Goes yard in win
Andujar went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.
Andujar has hit safely in his last eight games, going 10-for-31 (.323) in that span, which includes both of his homers this season. The 31-year-old is picking up fairly steady time as the designated hitter, though he's also picked up two games at third base and one at first base this season. Through 83 plate appearances, Andujar is batting .316 with an .843 OPS, two homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored and one stolen base. Andujar's primary competition for playing time is Gavin Sheets, though the former has momentum on his side for now.

Andujar got the start at designated hitter and hit third against lefty Connelly Early and was the only Padres player to record multiple hits Saturday. He doubled in the third inning and later scored on a Freddy Fermin double. Andujar is now slashing .300/.333/.450 with three extra-base hits, two RBI and two runs scored across 21 trips to the plate this season. With left-hander Ranger Suarez starting for the Red Sox on Sunday, Andujar should be in the lineup.
