Eades signed a minor-league contract with the Astros on Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Eades made his major-league debut with the Twins and Orioles in 2019 and posted a 2.38 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 11.1 innings across eight relief appearances. He didn't pitch in 2020 but will report to Triple-A Sugar Land now that the minor-league season has begun.

The Twins announced Thursday they signed second-round pick Ryan Eades, who was selected 43rd overall in June's draft. He will report to Rookie League Elizabethton. Eades received a $1.29 million signing bonus, according to Baseball America.
Eades went 8-1 with a 2.79 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 17 starts in 2013 for LSU. He was 17-5 with a 3.57 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 52 career appearances (40 starts). He struck out 172 batters in 237 innings.
