  • David Kampf C | BUF

    David Kampf: Returns to Czechia

Kampf agreed to terms on a three-year contract with HC Litvinov on Tuesday.

Kampf last played in the Czech league back in 2016-17, when he produced 31 points in 52 regular-season games for Chomutov Pirati. Since that time, the 31-year-old forward logged 576 regular-season games for the Blackhawks, Maple Leafs, Canucks and Capitals in which he racked up 50 goals and 99 assists. Given the length of his contract, this could mark the end of Kampf's NHL career.

  • Maple Leafs' Jacob Quillan: Pens two-way deal Monday

Quillan inked a one-year, two-way contract with Toronto on Monday, according to PuckPedia.

Quillan appeared in 23 games with the Maple Leafs in 2025-26, chipping in a goal, two assists and 46 hits while averaging 10:16 of ice time. The 24-year-old was much more productive with the Marlies en route to their Calder Cup championship, earning 14 goals, 36 points and a plus-12 rating over 40 regular-season games. He also had three goals and six helpers over 19 playoff games in the minors. Quillan will contend for an Opening Night roster spot with the big club in training camp ahead of the 2026-27 season.

  • Golden Knights' Lukas Cormier: Inks one-year deal

Cormier signed a one-year contract with the Golden Knights on Monday.

Per PuckPedia, it's a two-way deal. Cormier earned his newest contract after the strongest offensive campaign of his AHL career. Across 49 regular-season games with AHL Henderson, the 24-year-old blueliner compiled eight goals, 39 assists and 121 shots on net. He produced when it mattered as well, adding five points in six postseason appearances. While he's yet to see consistent minutes at the NHL level, he'll return to Vegas' system as one of the top options for a call-up if the Golden Knights run into injury problems. He has one assist in two career NHL games, with both appearances coming in the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Blackhawks' Drew Commesso: Signs two-year deal

Commesso signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract with Chicago on Monday, per PuckPedia.

Commesso has a two-way deal with the Blackhawks for 2026-27, and it becomes a one-way agreement in 2027-28. In three NHL outings with Chicago last year, he posted a 2-1-0 record while allowing only seven goals on 85 shots. Commesso also went 13-20-2 with a 3.08 GAA and a .901 in 37 appearances for AHL Rockford in the 2025-26 regular season. The 23-year-old netminder will probably begin the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

  • Rangers' William Trudeau: Signs two-way contract

Trudeau signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Rangers on Monday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

Trudeau was traded to the Rangers from the Canadiens on June 26, and he reached an agreement on a two-way deal with his new club just over a week later. He's spent the past four seasons with AHL Laval, and it seems likely that he'll spend most of his time in the minors once again during the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Stars' Kyle Burroughs: Lands one-year agreement

Burroughs signed a one-year, two-way contract with Dallas on Monday.

Burroughs had one goal and six assists in 18 regular-season appearances for AHL Ontario in 2025-26. He will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2026-27 campaign with AHL Texas.

  • Predators' Justin Barron: Secures one-year deal

Barron signed a one-year, $1.575 million contract with Nashville on Monday.

Barron contributed nine assists, 31 shots on goal, 60 blocked shots and 37 hits in 52 appearances for the Predators during the 2025-26 regular season. He will compete for a depth role with Nashville's blue line during training camp.

  • Simon Nemec D | CGY

Flames' Simon Nemec: Inks five-year contract

Nemec signed a five-year, $36.25 million contract with Calgary on Monday.

Nemec supplied 11 goals, 26 points, 101 shots on net and 104 blocked shots across 68 appearances with New Jersey during the 2025-26 regular season. He averaged 19:40 of ice time per game last year, and he should receive an increased role in 2026-27 as a member of the Flames. Calgary acquired the 22-year-old blueliner from the Devils on June 23.

  • Jakub Malek G | NJ

Devils' Jakub Malek: Agrees to two-year pact

Malek signed a two-year, two-way contract with New Jersey on Monday.

Malek spent the bulk of the 2025-26 regular season with AHL Utica, posting a 13-14-3 record with a 2.75 GAA and an .895 save percentage in 31 appearances. He also went 1-0-1 with a 1.91 GAA and a .930 save percentage in two regular-season outings with ECHL Adirondack last year. He will probably begin the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

  • Blue Jackets' Colton White: Secures two-year deal

White agreed to terms on a two-year, two-way contract with Columbus on Monday.

White saw action in 23 regular-season games for New Jersey last year in which he notched four assists, 23 hits, 16 blocked shots and 14 shots on goal while averaging just 12:15 of ice time. In 107 career NHL games, the 29-year-old blueliner has yet to score a goal, chipping in 14 combined assists for the Devils and Ducks. White's move to Columbus won't make NHL ice time any easier to come by, as he figures to once again play the bulk of his minutes in the AHL.
