  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Patrolling home net

Blackwood is set to draw Saturday's home start against the Flames, per Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports.

Blackwood will don his mask on Halloween against the Flames, where he'll look to extend his current win streak to three games. Overall, the 29-year-old backstop has a 6-3-0 record, a 2.81 GAA and an .894 save percentage across nine appearances this season. Given the combination of his recent success and Calgary's ranking as the 27th-best offense with 2.62 goals per game this season, Blackwood is positioned as one of the top starts in all fantasy formats for Saturday's Halloween slate.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: In goal Saturday

Nedeljkovic will start Saturday's home game against Ottawa, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Nedeljkovic surrendered five goals on 34 shots in last Saturday's 6-4 loss to Boston. He has a 3-1-1 record, a 2.88 GAA and a .903 save percentage in five appearances this season. Ottawa (8-5-1) is tied for 19th in the league with 3.00 goals per game in the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Tending twine against Tampa

Annunen will guard the home net in Saturday's clash against the Lightning, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

In his most recent appearance, Annunen picked up a convincing win against his former squad, the Colorado Avalanche, in Sunday's 6-2 win. Since recovering from an undisclosed injury to begin the season, he's posted a 1-1-0 record, a 4.00 GAA and an .846 save percentage across two outings. He'll face another tough test in Saturday's outing against the Lightning, who rank fifth in the NHL with 3.67 goals per game this season. If he can pick up another win, Annunen will start rapidly trending towards fantasy relevance as one of the more serviceable No. 2 options between the pipes in the NHL.

  • Erik Cernak D | TB

Lightning's Erik Cernak: Not playing Saturday

Cernak (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup against Nashville on Saturday, according to Lightning reporter Gabby Shirley.

Cernak will be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's matchup against Detroit. He has posted two assists, 15 shots on goal, 17 blocked shots and 25 hits in 12 outings this season.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Guarding road crease

Vasilevskiy will defend the road crease in Saturday's clash against the Predators, per Lightning reporter Gabby Shirley.

Despite earning Thursday's win over the Jets, Vasilevskiy allowed four goals or more in the second consecutive contest. Overall, the 32-year-old backstop has a 6-3-0 record, a 2.92 GAA and an .876 save percentage across nine appearances this season. While he hasn't been in Vezina-Trophy-level form to begin the new campaign, he's still anchoring the Lightning to wins, which should help with his confidence long term. He remains a clear No. 1 goalie option in fantasy ahead of Saturday's Halloween game against the Predators, who rank 23rd in the NHL with 2.85 goals per game this season. Start Vasilevskiy with confidence moving forward.

  • Lightning's Zemgus Girgensons: Unavailable Saturday

Girgensons (lower body) won't play against Nashville on Saturday, per Lightning reporter Gabby Shirley.

Girgensons will miss his second straight game, and it's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. He has earned one goal, two points, 14 shots on net, 31 hits and nine blocked shots in 11 appearances this season.

  • Logan O'Connor RW | COL

    Avalanche's Logan O'Connor: Sitting out Saturday's clash

O'Connor (personal) will not play in Saturday's home clash against the Flames, per Corey Masisak of The Denver Post.

O'Connor will get Saturday's clash off as he continues to mourn the loss of his father, Myles. The 30-year-old winger was recently given the all-clear from his lower-body injury and has played in three games this season. In his absence Saturday, Gavin Brindley will take his spot on the team's fourth line. Expect O'Connor to have a solid chance to play in Monday's road clash against the Blackhawks.

  • Stars' Kyle Capobianco: Shifts to IR

Capobianco (leg) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per Robert Tiffin of NHL.com.

In a corresponding move, Dallas activated Esa Lindell (lower body) from injured reserve. Capobianco is expected to miss about four weeks because of a suspected leg injury. He hasn't posted a point in five appearances with Dallas in 2026-27, but he has contributed three shots on net, three blocked shots, two hits and four PIM.

  • Ryan Pulock D | NYI

Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Shelved for Saturday's game

Pulock (upper body) will not play in Saturday's home clash against the Oilers, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Unfortunately for Pulock and the Islanders, his Halloween costume will be street clothes, as he's slated to miss his first game of the campaign after suffering an upper-body injury in Thursday's clash against the Wild. Prior to going down, the 32-year-old blueliner posted an assist, a plus-2 rating, eight shots on net, 11 hits and 23 blocked shots across 13 appearances. In his absence, Matt Kessel is expected to rejoin the lineup. Pulock will have some time to try and recover ahead of Thursday's home game against the Hurricanes.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

    Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Facing Oilers

Sorokin will protect the home net against Edmonton on Saturday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Sorokin is coming off a 22-save effort in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Islanders. He has a 6-3-1 record, a 2.34 GAA and a .915 save percentage through nine appearances in the 2026-27 campaign. Edmonton (9-2-2) leads the league with 4.23 goals per game this season.
