  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Considered game-time decision

Thompson (lower body) is considered a game-time decision for Wednesday's home game against the Flyers, Sammi Silber of The District Standard reports.

Thompson was the first goalie off during Wednesday's morning skate, but he remains on injured reserve due to his lower-body issue ahead of the matchup. Head coach Spencer Carbery said after morning skate that the team will see how Thompson feels Wednesday afternoon before determining his status against Philadelphia. If Thompson remains sidelined Wednesday, Charlie Lindgren or Mitchell Gibson will likely start in the crease.

  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Pots first GWG of season

Aho scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Bruins.

The star center finished an odd-man rush midway through the third period on the counter-attack, as Aho was just able to get his stick on Andrei Svechnikov's centering pass and tap a backhand past Jeremy Swayman. It was Aho's first GWG of the season, but hardly his first clutch moment -- 69 of his 318 career regular-season tallies have been game-winners, along with nine of his 39 playoff goals. Through 14 games to begin 2026-27, Aho's delivered eight goals and 19 points, including three goals and three assists on the power play.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Remains unbeaten

Kochetkov made 14 saves in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Bruins.

The 27-year-old netminder's perfect record looked as though it might be in jeopardy when Pavel Zacha scored on a power play just 91 seconds into the contest, but Carolina's defense stayed stingy, Kochetkov handled everything else fired his way, and Sebastian Aho eventually banged home the game-winner midway through the third period. Kochetkov has seized the No. 1 job in the 'Canes crease by going 8-0-0 to begin the season with a dazzling 1.61 GAA and .918 save percentage.

  • Predators' Ryan O'Reilly: Scores tying goal in third period

O'Reilly scored a goal on one shot in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.

O'Reilly completed Nashville's comeback early in the third period, tapping home a loose puck for his seventh goal of the season. The veteran center has scored three times over his last two appearances, providing a welcome boost to his offensive production. He's up to 13 points (seven goals, six assists) and 27 shots in 12 appearances this season.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Takes tough loss Tuesday

Swayman turned aside 28 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Hurricanes.

Boston grabbed a 1-0 lead 91 seconds into the first period on a power play, but it was the only puck that would get past Pyotr Kochetkov, and Swayman's defense let him down on both of Carolina's goals. It's Swayman's first regulation loss since Oct. 5 and just his second of the season, and through his first 10 outings he's gone 7-2-1 with a sharp 2.19 GAA and .921 save percentage.

  • Filip Forsberg LW | NSH

Predators' Filip Forsberg: Two points in Tuesday's SO loss

Forsberg scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.

Forsberg sparked Nashville's comeback with a second-period power-play tally before assisting on Ryan O'Reilly's tying goal in the third. The veteran winger has now scored in consecutive games after managing just one goal through his first 10 appearances. His recent improvement is encouraging, and his prominent power-play responsibilities should help him maintain strong fantasy value as his finishing touch returns.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Makes 25 saves in shootout defeat

Saros stopped 25 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.

Saros recovered after allowing three goals early in the contest, keeping New York scoreless throughout the remainder of regulation and overtime. However, he couldn't stop Kyle Palmieri or Bo Horvat in the shootout, leaving Nashville winless in five games extending beyond regulation this season. The veteran netminder remains the Predators' primary option, but the team's difficulty securing victories could continue limiting his fantasy value despite respectable individual performances.

  • Islanders' Semyon Varlamov: Earns win Tuesday

Varlamov stopped 20 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators. He also denied both Nashville shootout attempts.

Varlamov earned the win and posted a solid performance overall, coming up big throughout overtime and the shootout after the Predators erased a three-goal deficit in regulation. With Ilya Sorokin ahead of him in the Islanders' goaltending rotation, Varlamov remains a situational fantasy option, although this performance could help him earn additional starts.

  • Islanders' Brayden Schenn: Reaches 300 career goals

Schenn scored a goal on one shot in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators.

Schenn reached the 300-goal milestone with a first-period tally that gave New York a 2-0 lead. The veteran center has four goals this season and continues to provide secondary scoring for the Islanders. His experience and ability to contribute in multiple situations offer some value in deeper fantasy formats, although his offensive ceiling remains more limited than that of New York's primary scoring options.

  • Jets' Clay Stevenson: Buried early in Tuesday's loss

Stevenson stopped 19 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Panthers.

Three of the pucks to get past Stevenson came on Florida power plays, including a pair by Carter Verhaeghe in the first period as the visitors grabbed an early 3-0 lead they wouldn't relinquish. The 27-year-old netminder finds himself in a three-man committee in the crease for Winnipeg with Nico Daws having been part of the package for Connor Hellebuyck, but Stevenson hasn't made much of a case for more playing time, or even to keep his spot if the Jets decide to trim down. Over four starts this season, Stevenson's gone 1-3-0 with a 3.57 GAA and .870 save percentage.
