  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Earns win in Game 4

Bussi stopped 18 of 21 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Bussi got the start and delivered a decent performance to pick up the win while Frederik Andersen got some rest. It's too early to say if the Hurricanes have a goaltending controversy brewing, but Bussi has played well so far, allowing four goals on 40 shots over his two appearances in the postseason. The 27-year-old showed Tuesday he can perform when called upon, and it'd likely be a little easier for him if he happens to get the nod in Game 5 on home ice Thursday.

  • Hurricanes' William Carrier: Good to go Tuesday

Carrier (upper body) is expected to play in Game 4 against Vegas on Tuesday, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.

Carrier logged just 6:51 of ice time in Saturday's 5-4 double-overtime loss to Vegas in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. However, he won't miss additional action due to the injury after being a full participant in Monday's practice. Carrier has contributed four assists, 13 shots on goal, six blocked shots and 79 hits in 16 appearances this postseason.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Tending twine Tuesday

Hart will patrol the home crease against Carolina in Game 4 on Tuesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hart made 29 saves in Saturday's 5-4 double-overtime win over the Hurricanes in Game 3. He has a 14-5 record this postseason with a 2.44 GAA and a .913 save percentage. However, he has allowed four goals in each of his first three outings against Carolina during the Stanley Cup Finals.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Set to start Game 4

Bussi will guard the road goal versus the Golden Knights on Tuesday in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Bussi made a relief appearance in Game 3, stopping 18 of 19 shots. Frederik Andersen had operated as the Hurricanes' starter this postseason, but Bussi will now get the chance to turn the series around, which Vegas leads 2-1 heading into Tuesday. Bussi had a 31-6-2 record with a 2.47 GAA and an .894 save percentage in 39 regular-season outings.

  • Wild's Michael McCarron: Staying in Minnesota

McCarron signed a six-year, $19.8 million contract with the Wild on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

After being dealt from Nashville to Minnesota prior to the trade deadline in March, McCarron supplied three goals, five points, 23 shots, 40 hits, 17 blocks and a minus-1 rating while averaging 12:40 of ice time over 20 regular-season games. Now that the 31-year-old has some security in the form of a long-term deal, McCarron is set to be a staple in the Wild's bottom six going forward. The 6-foot-6 forward won't warrant much attention in the fantasy realm, but he should continue to be a steady source of hits if managers need help in that category.

  • Cooper Black G | FLA

Panthers' Cooper Black: Inks two-way deal

Black signed a two-year, two-way contract with Panthers on Monday.

After a strong campaign with AHL Charlotte, Black secured his second contract with Florida. In 42 AHL appearances this season, the 24-year-old netminder posted a 25-13-4 record, a 2.47 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Even though he hasn't made his NHL debut yet, the Panthers' crease was inconsistent last season between Sergei Bobrovsky and Daniil Tarasov, leaving the door open for Black to potentially see playing time in the NHL at some point during his new deal.

  • Joona Koppanen LW | PIT

Joona Koppanen: Headed back to Europe

Koppanen agreed to terms on a contract with Swedish club Lulea HF on Monday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.

Koppanen appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Penguins this season but was limited to one assist. The 28-year-old winger added seven shots and 11 hits while averaging 12:08 of ice time. At this point, the Finn will be hard-pressed to get another NHL opportunity, having logged a total of 33 regular-season games and producing just three points, and he figures to play the rest of his career overseas.

  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Deals two helpers in loss

Aho notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-4 double-overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

This was Aho's second multi-point effort of the postseason. He hasn't been a big contributor overall, though he has a goal and four helpers over his last five contests. The two-way center has a total of 10 points (four on the power play), 31 shots on net, 23 hits and a plus-3 rating through 16 playoff appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Sparks comeback effort

Martinook scored a goal on three shots and added four hits in Saturday's 5-4 double-overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Martinook snapped an eight-game point drought with the tally, which sparked a run of three goals in 39 seconds for the Hurricanes. The 33-year-old winger has continued to provide good defensive work and physicality in a third-line role despite the lack of offense. He has four points, 35 shots, 35 hits, 13 blocked shots, 12 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 16 playoff outings.

  • Taylor Hall LW | CAR

Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Pots goal in Game 3 loss

Hall scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-4 double-overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Hall picked up his first point of the series when he cut the deficit to 4-2 in the third period. The 34-year-old winger has had an impressive postseason while seeing steady top-six minutes. He's up to six goals, 17 points, 46 shots on net, 24 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 16 playoff outings.
