  • Ben Meyers C | SEA

Kraken's Ben Meyers: Pots goal Friday

Meyers scored a goal on eight shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canucks.

It was an inspired effort for the fourth-line center, who had more than twice as many shots as any of his teammates. Meyers is clicking with Ryan Winterton and Jacob Melanson on the fourth line lately, though it's still an assignment that leads to little offense on a low-scoring team. Meyers has three goals, six points, 31 shots, 24 hits and a minus-2 rating over 21 appearances this season.

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Lights lamp on power play

Stephenson scored a power-play goal and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canucks.

Stephenson had been held off the scoresheet over the previous two games, cooling off after a run of 12 points in 11 outings. The 31-year-old center is up to 11 goals, 25 points, 60 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 39 appearances this season. Stephenson has emerged as one of the Kraken's more productive forwards lately and should continue to see plenty of ice time in all situations.

  • Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Adds pair of helpers

Eriksson Ek registered two assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on net in Friday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Eriksson Ek has multiple points in two of the last three games. His season took off with a three-point effort Dec. 8 in Seattle, and he's accumulated 15 points over his last 13 games beginning with that contest. The 28-year-old center is up to 10 goals, 21 helpers, nine power-play points, 120 shots on net, 67 hits, 19 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating over 42 appearances this season. He's right in line with his usual level of production, offering steady all-around numbers for his fantasy managers.

  • Nico Sturm C | MIN

Wild's Nico Sturm: Tacks on goal

Sturm scored a goal in Friday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Sturm had the Wild's fifth goal to help secure the win. The 30-year-old chipped in with five points over 15 outings in December, and he continues to add a little depth scoring from a bottom-six role. Overall, he's produced three goals, seven points, 21 shots on net, 22 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating across 20 appearances.

  • Yakov Trenin C | MIN

Wild's Yakov Trenin: One of each Friday

Trenin scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, went plus-3 and logged five hits in Friday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Trenin ended a 13-game goal drought when he scored the eventual game-winner at 14:45 of the second period. He had five assists during that span, and he picked up a helper on Danila Yurov's first goal Friday as well. In a bottom-six role this season, Trenin has amassed three goals, 14 points, 52 shots on net, 205 hits and a plus-9 rating over 42 appearances. He's on track to become just the second player to reach 400 hits in a season after Kiefer Sherwood's record-setting 462 hits last year. Trenin is also on pace to top the 20-point mark for the first time since 2022-23.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Pots two in AHL win

Morrison scored twice in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-2 win over San Diego on Friday.

Morrison has six goals and three assists over his last eight games. For the season, he's up to 16 goals -- matching his AHL career high -- and 28 points through 30 appearances. He'll likely end up with a career year across the board, but it's unclear if the 23-year-old will get a look with the Kraken this year.

  • Flames' Cullen Potter: Hat trick, assist Friday

Potter scored three goals and added an assist in Arizona State University's 7-2 win over the University of Alaska-Anchorage on Friday.

Potter's big game gave him 11 goals and 12 assists through 21 outings this year, a new career high. He had 22 points in 35 games for the Sun Devils last year. Potter continues to look good and should see his prospect stock rise within the Flames' organization if he can keep up his current pace.

  • Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Gets two-year extension

Karlsson signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract extension with the Canucks on Friday.

The Canucks have clearly been impressed with Karlsson's work this year, which saw him make the team out of camp while on a one-year deal. The 26-year-old now gets a notable bump in salary in addition to the term, which is set to keep him in Vancouver colors through 2027-28. He's produced 16 points in 36 appearances this season while carving out some power-play time and filling spots all over the lineup.

  • Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Ruled out against Bolts

Gaudette (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Saturday's clash with the Lightning, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Gaudette will miss his second straight game due to his lower-body issue. While the 29-year-old forward has added just one goal in his last 10 outings, he did manage to chip in four helpers, with three of those five points coming on the man advantage.

  • Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Nets goal Thursday

Lizotte scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Red Wings.

Lizotte has three points over three games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 28-year-old forward is up to eight points, 33 shots on net, 27 hits, 13 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 30 appearances. Lizotte should continue to see steady time in a bottom-six role and on the penalty kill.
