  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Staying with Seattle

Morrison signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Kraken on Thursday. Per Sound of Hockey, it's a two-way contract that will allow Morrison to avoid restricted free agency this summer. The 23-year-old will remain with Seattle either way after taking a big step forward in his third professional season. He had 29 goals, 32 assists and a plus-23 rating over 68 regular-season outings with AHL Coachella Valley, and he added six points in 12 playoff contests. Morrison could be given a look with the big club in 2026-27, but he hasn't seen NHL action since the 2023-24 campaign, when he suited up in four games.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Sent back to minors

Morrison has been reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley by the Kraken, the team announced Sunday. Morrison was recalled just to serve as depth as he was a healthy scratch the last two games. The 23-year-old hasn't played an NHL game since the 2023-24 season. In the AHL, he has been having a great season, registering 56 points (27 goals, 29 assists) in 61 games.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Elevated from minors

Morrison was recalled from AHL Coachella on Friday. Morrison was promoted under emergency conditions, which would seem to indicate that neither Jared McCann (lower body) nor Ryan Winterton (personal) will be available versus the Sabres on Saturday. If Morrison does suit up, it would be his first taste of NHL action since 2023-24, when he logged four games with the Kraken.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Two more goals for Firebirds

Morrison scored two goals in AHL Coachella Valley's 3-0 win over Abbotsford on Sunday. Morrison is rolling in January with six goals and four assists over eight games. The 23-year-old forward is up to 20 goals and 36 points in 37 outings this season. That puts him fourth in the AHL in goals and 10th in points. Morrison hasn't gotten a call-up to the Kraken yet this season, but he should be in consideration if the big club needs a forward.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Pots two in AHL win

Morrison scored twice in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-2 win over San Diego on Friday. Morrison has six goals and three assists over his last eight games. For the season, he's up to 16 goals -- matching his AHL career high -- and 28 points through 30 appearances. He'll likely end up with a career year across the board, but it's unclear if the 23-year-old will get a look with the Kraken this year.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Impresses in Firebirds' win

Morrison scored twice on four shots and added an assist in AHL Coachella Valley's 6-3 win over San Jose on Wednesday. Morrison now has two goals and two assists through four contests this season. The Firebirds are off to a slow start, but getting the 23-year-old Morrison on track should help their offense. He's topped 40 points in each of his first two regular seasons in the AHL, and he also has four games of NHL experience under his belt from the 2023-24 campaign.
