McMichael scored a goal, added two PIM, blocked three shots and went minus-3 in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Rangers.

McMichael has two goals and seven assists over his last 10 outings. The 25-year-old's tally tied this contest at 1-1 in the first period, but the Rangers dominated the final 40 minutes. McMichael hasn't matched his 26-goal, 57-point breakout from 82 games in the 2024-25 regular season, but he's at 12 goals, 42 points, 138 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 74 appearances. His 8.7 shooting percentage is his worst in the last three seasons, so he's like been a victim of some bad luck this year.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Trio of helpers in big win

Zibanejad logged three assists, including two on the power play, and added two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Capitals.

Zibanejad always brings his best against the Capitals, earning 19 goals and 42 points over 51 career matchups against them, his third-best total against any team. For the season, the 32-year-old center has 33 tallies, 42 assists, 33 power-play points, 207 shots on net, 100 hits, 49 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 77 outings.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Goal, assist in blowout win

Trocheck scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, went plus-3 and added three hits in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Capitals.

Trocheck had been limited to two assists over his previous eight games. The 32-year-old center is up to 16 goals, 52 points, 108 shots on net, 184 hits, 56 PIM, 45 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating over 63 appearances this season. Trocheck has been playing on the third line recently, but his power-play time keeps him in a good position to generate offense.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: One of each on power play in win

Miller scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Capitals.

Miller redirected a pass in tight from Mika Zibanejad for the go-ahead goal 3:07 into the second period. Later in the frame, Miller helped out on an Adam Fox tally. With three goals and six assists over his last seven outings, Miller is rolling on offense, and five of his points in that span have come with a man advantage. He's at 17 goals, 33 helpers, 17 power-play points, 136 shots on net, 119 hits, 30 blocked shots and a minus-27 rating through 64 contests on the year.

The 27-year-old center is up to 17 goals, 24 points, 99 shots on net, 40 hits, 37 blocked shots, 39 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 65 appearances. This is his second-highest scoring season, behind only his 35-point campaign with Nashville in 2022-23.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Out with undisclosed injury

Staal (undisclosed) won't play Sunday against the Senators, the Hurricanes announced.

This is just the fourth game that Staal will have missed this season, with the prior three all coming in November. The 37-year-old has had a great season so far, as he's one goal away from his first 20-goal regular season since the 2015-16 campaign. Expect Jesperi Kotkaniemi to work his way back into the lineup with Staal out of action.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Pots 10th goal of campaign

Rossi scored a power-play goal on two shots and went minus-4 in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Mammoth.

Rossi reached the 10-goal mark on the play, though that's not great considering he had hit 20 tallies in each of the previous two seasons. The 24-year-old center has had some good moments in a second-line role for the Canucks, but the overall team situation remains tough to get excited about. He's at 31 points, 59 shots on net, 41 hits and a minus-25 rating over 44 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild this season, putting him on a per-game pace similar to previous campaigns.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Dishes pair of helpers in win

Cooley notched two assists in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.

Cooley has racked up five goals and three assists over his last four games. The 21-year-old center is looking comfortable on the second line and first power-play unit, and he could give fantasy managers a boost late in the season. He's up to 38 points, 92 shots on net, 49 hits and a plus-6 rating over 48 appearances this season.

  • Devils' Dawson Mercer: Pots another goal

Mercer scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canadiens.

Mercer started the Devils' comeback with a goal at 13:08 of the second period. Mercer has been a reliable top-six forward with 18 goals, 39 points, 146 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 76 appearances this season, putting him on track to reach the 40-point mark for the first time in three years.
