Alex Wennberg C | SJ
Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Placed on injured reserve
Wennberg (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Wennberg has been sidelined for over a week due to his upper-body injury, and his placement on injured reserve isn't particularly surprising after the Sharks announced last week that the 32-year-old is considered week-to-week. It's not yet clear when Wennberg will be able to return to game action, but his move to injured reserve will allow the Sharks to call up some additional depth.

Sebastian Aho C | CAR
Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Pots first GWG of season
Aho scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Bruins.
The star center finished an odd-man rush midway through the third period on the counter-attack, as Aho was just able to get his stick on Andrei Svechnikov's centering pass and tap a backhand past Jeremy Swayman. It was Aho's first GWG of the season, but hardly his first clutch moment -- 69 of his 318 career regular-season tallies have been game-winners, along with nine of his 39 playoff goals. Through 14 games to begin 2026-27, Aho's delivered eight goals and 19 points, including three goals and three assists on the power play.

Predators' Ryan O'Reilly: Scores tying goal in third period
O'Reilly scored a goal on one shot in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.
O'Reilly completed Nashville's comeback early in the third period, tapping home a loose puck for his seventh goal of the season. Brayden Schenn C | NYI
Islanders' Brayden Schenn: Reaches 300 career goals
Schenn scored a goal on one shot in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators.
Schenn reached the 300-goal milestone with a first-period tally that gave New York a 2-0 lead. The veteran center has four goals this season and continues to provide secondary scoring for the Islanders. His experience and ability to contribute in multiple situations offer some value in deeper fantasy formats, although his offensive ceiling remains more limited than that of New York's primary scoring options.

Bo Horvat C | NYI
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Scores in regulation and shootout
Horvat scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators. He also converted his shootout attempt.
Horvat extended New York's lead to 3-0 early in the second period, finishing a cross-ice pass from Matthew Schaefer for his sixth goal of the season. He later helped secure the victory with a successful shootout attempt after Nashville erased the Islanders' three-goal advantage. Horvat's established scoring role and involvement in key offensive situations continue to make him a dependable fantasy contributor, and he's up to 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 12 appearances this season.

Carter Verhaeghe C | FLA
Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Lights lamp twice in Tuesday's win
Verhaeghe scored two power-play goals in Tuesday's 5-1 victory over Winnipeg.
Both goals came in the first period as the Panthers jumped out to a 3-0 lead and put the game away early. Verhaeghe has three multi-goal performances in the last seven games, and through 13 contests to begin the season he's produced eight goals and 11 points, including four power-play tallies and two game-winners.

Jack Hughes C | NJ
Devils' Jack Hughes: Point streak up to three games
Hughes scored a goal on six shots and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Stars.
Hughes set up Jesper Boqvist's second-period tally before adding New Jersey's fifth goal in the third, extending his point streak to three games (two goals, three assists). His six shots were a game-high mark, reflecting his aggressive offensive approach. The star center remains one of the Devils' primary scoring threats, and his combination of shot volume and playmaking ability gives him an excellent fantasy ceiling.

Nico Hischier C | NJ
Devils' Nico Hischier: Scores twice in convincing victory
Hischier scored two goals on three shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Stars.
Hischier opened the scoring on a first-period rush, then doubled New Jersey's advantage just 38 seconds into the second period. Hischier went pointless in the first three games of the season, but he's had nine points (seven goals, two assists) in his subsequent nine appearances. His prominent offensive role and consistent involvement in scoring opportunities continue to support a strong fantasy outlook across all formats in a red-hot Devils team that has won four games in a row.

Adam Fantilli C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Starting to heat up
Fantilli scored a goal and added an assist Tuesday in a 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers.
Fantilli seems to be warming up. He has three points (two goals, one assist) in his last two games and four points, including three goals, and 12 shots in his last four. He and Kent Johnson are clicking right now, and this duo could be one of the NHL's most interesting going forward.
