  • Mecole Hardman: Cut loose by Green Bay

Hardman was released by the Packers on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official website reports.

Hardman signed with Green Bay in March, failing to make much of an impact with the team during the preseason. The wide receiver recorded three catches for 30 yards, while also adding a 14-yard rush and 20 yards on four punt returns over three contests. Hardman muffed a punt in his first appearance against the Jets on Aug. 9, and he never found his footing with the team after that mistake. Considering his past production in Kansas City from 2019-2023 and 2025, Hardman will likely find another suitor in the near future.

  • Kendall Milton RB | CIN

Kendall Milton: Let go by Bengals

The Bengals waived Milton on Tuesday.

Milton showed some potential this preseason with 94 carries on 17 carries (5.5 YPC). The Georgia product spent most of the 2024 season on the Bengals' practice squad, which is likely where he'll look to land if he clears waivers.

  • Jamoi Mayes WR | CIN

    Jamoi Mayes: Shuffles to waivers

The Bengals waived Mayes on Tuesday.

Mayes also went to college at Cincinnati where he posted 29 receptions for 349 yards and a touchdown in his final season. The Bengals have a crowded receiver room, so Mayes was always a longshot to make the roster. Mayes caught one of six targets for 48 yards in the preseason. He's a practice-squad candidate.

  • Tre Hawkins: Waived with injury designation

Hawkins (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.

Hawkins missed all three of the Giants' preseason contests, which could be due to the undisclosed injury he's dealing with. If the cornerback clears waivers, he will revert to injured reserve with New York for the 2025 season.

  • Tanner McLachlan: Sent to waivers

The Bengals waived/injured McLachlan (undiclosed) on Tuesday.

If McLachlan clears waivers, he'll revert to the Bengals' injured reserve where he'll remain for the rest of the season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team. The 2024 sixth-round pick played in just two games for the Bengals last season and wasn't targeted.

  • Jeremiah Ledbetter: Cut by New York

Ledbetter was released by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.

Ledbetter signed with New York in March after three seasons in Jacksonville, recording nine total tackles (four solo) over three preseason contests with the Giants. He will now look for his next opportunity elsewhere ahead of the 2025 campaign.

  • Bryson Nesbit TE | MIN

Bryson Nesbit: Unable to make 53-man roster

The Vikings waived Nesbit on Tuesday.

Nesbit tied for second on the Vikings during the preseason with 73 receiving yards, scoring once on five receptions. The undrafted rookie's biggest knock coming out of North Carolina was his run blocking, and he seemingly didn't prove enough this summer, getting beat out by fellow undrafted rookie Benjamin Yurosek for the No. 3 tight end role. Nesbit may have an opportunity to stick around on the practice squad.

  • Giants' Victor Dimukeje: Set to miss four weeks

Dimukeje (pectoral) was moved to the reserve/PUP list by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.

Dimukeje has been sidelined since May while recovering from a torn pectoral muscle, and he will now be forced to miss at least the first four weeks of the 2025 campaign. Considering that he's expected to operate as a depth piece on New York's defense, his absence will likely carry its greatest impact on special teams.

  • Dontae Fleming WR | MIN

Dontae Fleming: Falls short of 53-man roster

The Vikings waived Flaming on Tuesday.

Fleming brought speed to the Vikings' receiver room after running a 4.44 40-yard dash, but his production at Tulane was mediocre overall. The 23-year-old finished fourth on the team with 71 receiving yards this preseason.

  • Michael Carter RB | ARI

Michael Carter: Gets cut by Cardinals

The Cardinals released Carter on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

In nine games with the Cardinals over the last two seasons, both of which he worked with offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, Carter turned 57 carries into 280 yards (4.9 YPC) and one touchdown and 20 catches (on 22 targets) into 90 yards and another TD. While those numbers are respectable, he and fellow RB DeeJay Dallas didn't make the cut after the preseason, while Emari Demercado and Zonovan Knight did behind the top duo of James Conner and Trey Benson. Carter can sign with any team but may end up back on Arizona's practice squad, where he spent most of the 2024 campaign.
