  • Josh Downs WR | IND

Colts' Josh Downs: Hauls in three passes in Week 5 loss

Downs caught three of six targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Steelers.

The fourth-year wideout had the Colts' longest play of the day, a 42-yard connection with Daniel Jones in the second quarter that helped set up the team's only touchdown of the afternoon, but Downs was otherwise held in check. Downs is still looking for his first TD of 2026, and despite being Jones' top healthy WR he's managed just a 20-249-0 line on 34 targets through five games. He'll look to hit paydirt in Week 6 against the winless Titans.

  • Commanders' Jacory Croskey-Merritt: Early TD helps set season rushing high

Croskey-Merritt rushed 11 times for 82 yards and a touchdown but wasn't targeted in Sunday's 27-27 tie against the Giants.

Croskey-Merritt had a 33-yard touchdown run on his first carry just two minutes into the game and ultimately set a new season high in rushing yards despite tying for his fewest touches of the season with just 11. Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler combined for 10 carries and two targets, while Jayden Daniels led Washington's ground game with 103 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on nine attempts. Given Croskey-Merritt's lack of involvement in the passing game, he may not get many opportunities if the Commanders fall behind as expected when they visit the undefeated 49ers in Week 6.

  • Tom Kennedy WR | DET

Lions' Tom Kennedy: Leaves game on crutches

Kennedy (knee) left Sunday's 45-21 win over the Cardinals on crutches, Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports.

Kennedy suffered a right knee injury in the second quarter, and he had a brace on it as he departed the stadium Sunday. The wide receiver appears to be set to miss action moving forward, and his absence will mostly impact the team's special-teams unit.

  • Dolphins' Malik Washington: Compiles 134 all-purpose yards in loss

Washington secured six of eight targets for 43 yards, rushed once for 18 yards, returned two kickoffs for 45 yards and ran back one punt for 28 yards in the Dolphins' 31-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.

Washington led the Dolphins across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, although the middle total was relatively modest on an afternoon in which Malik Willis threw for just 137 yards. Washington's catch total was also a new season high, and he's now upped his reception tally over that of the previous week in four consecutive contests. Washington will remain a relevant asset in deeper PPR formats and as a DFS dart throw in a Week 7 road matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 25 following a Week 6 bye.

  • Tyler Warren TE | IND

Colts' Tyler Warren: Gets into end zone in strong Week 5 effort

Warren caught seven of nine targets for 83 yards and added a one-yard touchdown on his only carry in Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Steelers.

The second-year tight end led the Colts in catches and receiving yards while tying Keenan Allen for the team lead in targets, and Warren produced Indy's only TD of the game with his goal-line plunge in the second quarter. Warren is seeing strong volume as one of the few pass catchers Daniel Jones can rely on, and through five games he's delivered a 30-213-2 line on 36 targets. Given Jones' lack of options, Warren could be busy again in Week 6 against the winless Titans.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Colts' Daniel Jones: Can't get ball into end zone in loss

Jones completed 24 of 44 passes for 267 yards without a touchdown or interception and added four rushing yards on three carries in Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Steelers.

The Colts' lone TD came on a one-yard plunge by tight end Tyler Warren in the second quarter, and the rest of their points came via five Spencer Shrader field goals as Jones couldn't get the ball into the end zone. Jones still has yet to re-discover the form he displayed prior to the Achilles injury that ended his 2025 campaign, and through five games this season he's managed a weak 3:4 TD:INT and 5.8 YPA, although a depleted WR room is playing a large part in his downturn as well. Jones will try to build some momentum in Week 6 against the winless Titans.

  • Malik Willis QB | MIA

Dolphins' Malik Willis: More effective as runner in loss

Willis completed 15 of 27 passes for 137 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions and added eight carries for 74 yards and another score in the Dolphins' 31-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, losing one and recovering the other.

Willis had a particularly difficult first half through the air, and although he was able to bring up his numbers somewhat in the second half, he still finished with his second-fewest passing yards of the season. Willis connected with Kevin Coleman for a three-yard touchdown just past the midway point of the fourth quarter, but the veteran signal-caller made more of an impact on the ground with a season-high rushing yardage total and his second touchdown of the campaign on the ground. Willis is helping keep the Dolphins competitive on most weeks, so he figures to remain under center for a Week 7 divisional road matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 25 following a Week 6 bye.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Stifled by Steelers in Week 5 loss

Taylor carried the ball 15 times for 45 yards and caught three of four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 34-22 loss to Pittsburgh.

The Steelers were able to keep Taylor from hurting them, and most of the star RB's yardage came on a 24-yard pass from Daniel Jones in the second quarter and a 20-yard run in the fourth, the latter of which helped set up the fifth of Spencer Shrader's five field goals on the afternoon. It's the second time in the last three games that Taylor has fallen short of 90 scrimmage yards, as defenses crowd the box and focus on stopping him while daring the Colts' depleted WR room to beat them over the top. Taylor should be able to find a little more success in Week 6 against the winless Titans.

  • Denzel Boston WR | CLE

Browns' Denzel Boston: Scores third TD in Week 5 loss

Boston caught three of seven targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Jets.

Boston's 29-yard touchdown catch with 6:15 left in the fourth quarter gave the Browns a 12-10 lead, but Cleveland failed to hold that advantage. The rookie second-round pick has caught 16 of 29 targets for 330 yards and three touchdowns while exceeding 40 receiving yards in each of his first five NFL outings. KC Concepcion, who was drafted 15 picks ahead of Boston at 24th overall, exited Sunday's loss due to a concussion. Boston could get a larger share of targets from Deshaun Watson if Concepcion doesn't rejoin Cleveland's WR room in Week 6 against the Ravens.

  • Deshaun Watson QB | CLE

Browns' Deshaun Watson: Inaccurate in Week 5 loss

Watson completed 15 of 33 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown while rushing six times for 40 yards in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Jets. He also lost a fumble.

Watson orchestrated a go-ahead touchdown drive in the fourth quarter for the fourth consecutive game, giving the Browns a 12-10 lead with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Denzel Boston with 6:15 remaining. Cleveland's defense held up to win the previous three games, but that streak was snapped here, as the Jets scored a go-ahead touchdown with 3:01 remaining while the Browns failed to score on their final three drives, the last of which ended with a Watson fumble on fourth down. Watson and the Browns will take a 3-2 record into a key Week 6 home game against the Ravens.
