  • Genesis Smith SAF | LAC

Chargers' Genesis Smith: Two picks in loss

Smith accumulated five tackles (two solo) and two passes defensed for two interceptions in the Chargers' 24-16 loss to the Bills on Sunday.

Smith had a stellar defensive night, picking off superstar quarterback Josh Allen twice while the Chargers defense amassed five turnovers. Smith picked off Allen at the Buffalo 43-yard line in the first quarter and the Chargers' 10-yard line on a bobbling grab that landed in his chest during the second quarter. The free safety was starting due to the absence of Elijah Molden (hamstring) but held up well in coverage and made the Bills pay for testing him so frequently.

  • Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Sacks Winston in Week 3 loss

Simmons posted 10 tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, during the Titans' 12-7 loss to the Giants in Week 3.

Simmons led the Titans in combined tackles with two going for a loss, including a seven-yard sack on Jameis Winston early in the second quarter that forced the Giants to punt on the next play. Simmons is up to 20 combined tackles through three regular-season games, which leads all defensive linemen in the NFL and is fourth-most on the Titans. He's recorded a sack in back-to-back games, but he'll have his hands full in a Week 4 road tilt against Lamar Jackson, former Titans running back Derrick Henry and the Ravens.

  • Bills' C.J. Gardner-Johnson: Secures key interception in win

Gardner-Johnson logged five tackles (three solo) and two passes defensed, including one interception, in the Bills' 24-16 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

Quarterback Justin Herbert threw Gardner-Johnson a "meatball sub", according to commentator Tom Brady, early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. The pick resulted in the Bills taking a lead for the first time in the game, with the 17-13 score becoming the closest gap in the remainder of the contest. The safety intercepted the ball at the 1-yard line, likely saving a touchdown or, at the very least, a field goal. Gardner-Johnson played 68 of the team's 69 defensive plays in the contest.

  • Jeremy Chinn SAF | LV

Raiders' Jeremy Chinn: Forces huge turnover in win

Chinn recorded eight tackles (seven solo) including 1.0 sacks and a forced fumble during Sunday's 35-27 win at New Orleans.

Chinn came on a delayed blitz on a fourth down just outside the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, and he was able to jar the ball loose from quarterback Tyler Shough's grasp in the backfield, giving the Raiders the ball back with a 35-27 lead. His big role in Las Vegas' secondary means he might be worth a look as an IDP option in some formats heading into a Week 4 tilt versus the Chiefs.

  • Nakobe Dean LB | LV

Raiders' Nakobe Dean: Leading tackler in win

Dean recorded 12 tackles (11 solo), a pass defensed and a forced fumble during Sunday's 35-27 win at New Orleans.

Dean punched the ball out of tight end Juwan Johnson's hands in the flat with about one minute left on the clock in the fourth quarter, and the Raiders' recovery sealed their victory in Week 3. He profiles as a strong IDP option in most formats going into a Week 4 matchup versus the Chiefs.

  • Greg Rousseau LB | BUF

Bills' Greg Rousseau: Logs third consecutive two-sack performance

Rousseau logged eight tackles (five solo), including 2.0 sacks, in the Bills' 24-16 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

Rousseau leads the NFL with 6.0 sacks, having logged 2.0 sacks in each of the first three games of the 2026 regular season. The linebacker has had a stunning breakout since switching to coach Jim Leonhard's 3-4 defense. The 26-year-old is entering his sixth NFL season and has begun to make a compelling case that should put him on Defensive Player of the Year ballots if he can keep producing throughout the season.

  • Alex Singleton LB | DEN

Broncos' Alex Singleton: Tallies eight stops vs. LAR

Singleton finished Sunday's 30--26 win over the Rams with eight tackles (five solo).

Singleton played every single defensive snap for a second consecutive week, and he finished Sunday's game tied with Pat Surtain as the Broncos' second-leading tackler behind Brandon Jones (eight). Singleton is up to 33 combined tackles through three regular-season games, which leads the Broncos and is tied with Fred Warner for second-most in the NFL behind rookie second-rounder Anthony Hill (34). Singleton and the Broncos' defense will have its hands full in a Week 4 road tilt against the 49ers.

  • Brandon Jones SAF | DEN

Broncos' Brandon Jones: Game-high 12 tackles in Week 3 win

Jones posted 12 tackles (10 solo) and one pass defense during the Broncos' 30-26 win over the Rams on Sunday.

Sunday was the first time since Week 3 of the 2025 season that Jones posted double-digit tackles, and his 10 solo tackles were one shy from matching his career high that he set in Week 6 of the 2024 campaign against the Chargers. Jones has played almost every single defensive snap and is up to 22 combined tackles through three regular-season games, which is second-most on the Broncos behind Alex Singleton (33).

  • Talanoa Hufanga SAF | DEN

Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga: Huge fourth quarter in Week 3 win

Hufanga recorded five tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks and three pass defenses (one interception and a pick-six) during the Broncos' 30-26 win over the Rams in Week 3.

Hufanga's heroics in the fourth quarter was a driving force behind the Broncos' come-from-behind victory this past Sunday. It started early in the period with a 10-yard sack on Matthew Stafford on a third-and-5, leading to a 48-yard field goal by Harrison Mevis. Hufanga followed that up by picking off a Stafford pass intended for Kyren Williams, which Hufanga returned 66 yards for a touchdown to give the Broncos the lead. The sixth-year safety wrapped up his career night with a game-sealing interception off Stafford in the end zone on the final play of the contest. Hufanga and the Broncos will look to carry their momentum into a Week 4 road tilt against the 49ers this Sunday.

  • Storm Duck CB | MIA

Dolphins' Storm Duck: Returns to limited practice Wednesday

The Dolphins opened Duck's (knee) 21-day practice window Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Duck was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The Dolphins have until Oct. 21 to return the cornerback to the active roster, or the team will need to keep the 25-year-old on the reserve/PUP list for the remainder of the 2026 season.
