  • Michael Carter RB | ARI

Cardinals' Michael Carter: Reverts to practice squad

Carter reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Carter did not play a single snap as Bam Knight and Emari Demercado served as the Cardinals' two running backs during the 27-17 victory. Arizona has used up all three of Carter's elevations from the practice squad, so he would have to be signed to the 53-man roster in order for play for the Cardinals again this season. However, with Trey Benson (knee) close to returning from injured reserve, Carter's window for utility may have already closed.

  • Rick Lovato LS | LAC

Chargers' Rick Lovato: Expected to retire

The Chargers placed Lovato (undisclosed) on the reserve/retired list Tuesday.

Lovato is seemingly stepping away from his NFL career after appearing in nine games for the Chargers this season. Josh Harris (undisclosed), who was designated to return from injured reserve last week, will likely take over as the team's long snapper following Lovato's retirement.

  • Adam Butler DT | LV

Raiders' Adam Butler: Limited in practice Tuesday

Butler (back) was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports

After playing in Sunday's overtime loss to Jacksonville, Butler returned to the injury report with the same back injury that he sustained in Week 7 against the Chiefs. The defensive tackle had arguably his best game of the season last week with five tackles, but with his back seemingly bothering him again, it is unknown if he will be ready for Thursday's game against Denver.

  • Ricky Stromberg: Placed on injured list

The Bears placed Stromberg (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday.

Stromberg will now be sidelined for at least the next four weeks. The 24-year-old has yet to appear in a game this season but will look to make his debut once he's healthy.

  • Cowboys' Shavon Revel: On track for Week 11 return

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters Tuesday that Revel (knee) is "trending" toward making his 2025 debut in the Cowboys' Week 11 road tilt against the Raiders on Monday, Nov. 17, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The rookie third-rounder is inching closer to making his NFL debut. Revel started the regular season on the reserve/non-football injured list while recovering from a torn ACL that he sustained during his final collegiate season at East Carolina in September of 2024. Revel was limited in practice during Week 9 prep, and with the Cowboys on the bye Week 10, he'll have additional time to progress in his recovery and be available for Week 11 in Las Vegas.

  • Justin Herron OG | DET

Justin Herron: Let go by Detroit

The Lions released Herron (arm) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday.

Herron was placed on injured reserve back in August, just one week after signing with the team. The 29-year-old will now look to get healthy and catch on with a new team.

  • Mac Dalena WR | KC

Mac Dalena: Joining Seattle's practice squad

The Seahawks signed Dalena to their practice squad Tuesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Dalena spent training camp with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent before being waived in August, but now he's getting another chance with a new team. Seattle is dealing with a few different injuries at wide receiver, so it makes sense that the organization is trying to beef up its depth there.

  • Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Trending toward Week 11 return

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that Overshown (knee) is "trending" toward being activated from injured reserve ahead of the Cowboys' Week 11 clash against the Raiders on Monday, Nov. 17, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Overshown is in the final stages of his rehab from a torn ACL, MCL and PCL that he suffered in December. His 21-day practice window opened Oct. 22, and while he wasn't ready to return for Weeks 8 and 9, the expectation is that he'll be available to make his 2025 debut in Week 11. Overshown's return would bolster a Cowboys linebacker corps that will be without Jack Sanborn (groin) for at least four games after the latter was placed on injured reserve Monday.

  • Jimmy Holiday: Done with Kansas City

The Chiefs released Holiday from their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Holiday has spent the entire regular season up to this point on the practice squad, but he's now getting cut after Week 9. The undrafted rookie will have to seek out a new opportunity to make an impression.

  • Kristian Wilkerson: Let go by Buffalo

The Bills cut Wilkerson from the practice squad Tuesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Wilkerson joined the Bills' practice squad in late August after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He was not elevated to the active roster through the Bills' first eight games and will now look to join a team in need of depth at wide receiver. He has appeared in nine regular-season games since entering the league in May of 2020 as an undrafted free agent.
