  • Cardinals' Marvin Harrison: Now also dealing with illness

Harrison is missing his third straight practice Saturday due both to a knee issue and an illness, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Knee soreness kept Harrison out of practice Thursday and Friday, and he's now been affected by an illness as well. That said, head coach Jonathan Gannon stated Saturday that the second-year wideout is "trending in a good direction," per Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com, so neither issue currently seems to be threatening Harrison's availability for Week 1 of the regular season. Gannon similarly said that the team is "being smart" with Harrison, according to Brack, though Gannon didn't mention when the club's top wideout may return to practice.

  • Michael Wilson WR | ARI

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: In concussion protocol

Wilson is in the NFL's concussion protocol, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Wilson had to leave practice early Friday after colliding with Budda Baker's right knee while trying to catch a pass. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Saturday that Baker is fine, but Wilson won't be able to practice until he clears concussion protocol. That leaves Arizona without its top two wideouts at the moment, as Marvin Harrison Jr. will miss his third straight day of practice Saturday while battling a knee issue and an illness, per Cameron Cox of 12 Sports AZ.

  • Xavier Gipson WR | NYG

Jets' Xavier Gipson: Injures shoulder Saturday

Gipson left Saturday's training camp practice after injuring his shoulder, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.

Gipson suffered the injury during red-zone team drills and left for the team's facilities shortly after. He'll undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury, but it puts him in jeopardy of missing practices and the Jets' preseason opener against the Packers on Aug. 9. Gipson's path to the 53-man roster is in the form of return duties, so Isaiah Davis and Kene Nwangwu would be in line to see more opportunities on kickoffs and punts were Gipson to be sidelined for an extended period of time.

  • Zay Flowers WR | BAL

Ravens' Zay Flowers: Back at practice

Flowers (undisclosed) returned to practice Saturday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Flowers missed the last two days of practice while working through an unspecified injury, but it doesn't appear to be a serious issue, as he was seen back on the field for Saturday's training camp practice. Flowers enjoyed a productive sophomore campaign and finished the 2024 regular season with 74 catches (on 116 targets) for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games, but he missed both of the Ravens' playoff games due to a right knee sprain that he suffered in Week 18. The 2023 first-rounder will lead the Ravens wide receiver corps that also includes Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins, Devontez Walker and Tylan Wallace.

  • 49ers' Jordan Watkins: Expected back at practice

Watkins (undisclosed) is expected to return to practice Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Watkins was forced to leave Friday's practice early due to an unspecified injury, but it doesn't appear to be serious, as he's slated to be on the field for Saturday's session. With the 49ers' wide receiver corps battling injuries, Watkins will have the opportunity to work more with the first-team offense and build chemistry with Brock Purdy.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Consistently clicking in camp

Evans has made several signature plays throughout the first week-plus of training camp and is benefitting from repeatedly working against starting cornerback Zyon McCollum, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.

The 12-year pro is on a quest to break Jerry Rice's record for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in 2025, and Evans looks like he's ramping up early for just such a noteworthy campaign. The perennial Pro Bowler has made multiple highlight catches while working with both Baker Mayfield (hand) and Kyle Trask, and he also feels he's benefitting from constantly facing McCollum, a rising star at cornerback with 4.33 speed that recorded 17 defensed passes, including two interceptions, over 17 regular-season games in 2024. "We are sharpening each other's game," described Evans. "He has been my teammate for four seasons now and has come a long way and he is one of the best corners in the game. It is a battle every time we go against each other."

  • Deebo Samuel WR | WAS

Commanders' Deebo Samuel: Injures left hand Saturday

Samuel injured his left hand while diving for a catch during Saturday's training camp practice, Commanders writer Ben Standig reports.

Samuel left practice shortly after the injury, and the severity of the injury will be determined once he undergoes further testing. He is expected to be Jayden Daniels' top weapon for as long as Terry McLaurin (ankle/contract) is sidelined. The severity of Samuel's injury isn't clear, but if he's held out of practice, that would leave Jaylin Lane, Michael Gallup and K.J. Osborn to work in three-wideout sets with the first-team offense alongside Noah Brown and Luke McCaffrey. Samuel signed a one-year, $17 million contract with the Commanders in March after spending the first six years of his NFL career with the 49ers.

  • Dolphins' Dee Eskridge: Injures hamstring Saturday

Eskridge was carted off the field during Saturday's training camp practice after injuring his right hamstring, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.

Eskridge being carted off may have been a precautionary measure. Nevertheless, he'll undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury, and he could be in danger of missing the Dolphins' preseason opener against the Bears on Aug. 10. If Eskridge were to be sidelined, that would open the door for Erik Ezukanma, Tahj Washington and Tarik Black to see more practice reps.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Not practicing Saturday

Pittman (undisclosed) will not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Pittman's absence is likely a maintenance day, with the sixth-year wideout recovering from a groin injury that he suffered during Tuesday's practice. With Pittman sidelined, Adonai Mitchell will have the opportunity to join Alec Pierce and Josh Downs in three-wideout sets with the first-team offense. Ashton Dulin and Anthony Gould could also see an uptick in practice reps.

  • Tory Horton WR | SEA

Seahawks' Tory Horton: Works with first-team offense

Horton worked with the first-team offense Friday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Horton's an interesting prospect because he may have been drafted if he left college in 2022 after posting a 71-1,131-8 line at Colorado State, but he returned for his senior year and registered an even better 96-1,136-8 tally. He then chose to stay in school for a fifth season, which was cut short by a knee injury after just six games. Nevertheless, the Seahawks picked him in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft after he recorded a 4.41-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. Bell stated that Horton made multiple big plays with the starting offense and looks fully past his knee injury. The fact he's bumped veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the second team this early in camp is an encouraging sign, making it clear Horton can secure the No. 3 job by finishing training camp strong.
