  • Jake Bobo WR | SEA

Seahawks' Jake Bobo: Knee injury believed to be serious

Coach Mike Macdonald said Bobo sustained a "serious" knee injury in Friday's joint practice with the Titans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Bobo will undergo an MRI to confirm the injury, but Macdonald said early indications are it's a long-term injury for the wide receiver. Bobo had just returned from a hamstring injury last week, and it now looks like his 2026 season is in jeopardy. Tory Horton (undisclosed) and sixth-round rookie Emmanuel Henderson will be next up for snaps at wideout behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed and Cooper Kupp.

  • Tre Harris WR | LAC

Chargers' Tre' Harris: Should practice this weekend

Harris (undisclosed) didn't play in Thursday's preseason game against San Francisco, but coach Jim Harbaugh said afterward that the wideout should practice this weekend, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.

It sounds like Harris is dealing with a minor injury. Quentin Johnston (lower body) also missed Thursday's exhibition, leaving rookie Brenen Thompson to fill in as a starter opposite Ladd McConkey. Come Week 1, it'll likely be McConkey, Johnston and Harris as the top three.

  • Nico Collins WR | HOU

Texans' Nico Collins: Held out of second preseason game

Collins didn't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Raiders.

QB C.J. Stroud got the start, but Collins, David Montgomery and a few other key veteran were held out. With fellow wideout Jayden Higgins suffering an ACL tear this summer, Collins may see a dominant portion of Houston's downfield passes and red-zone targets. That might've been the case anyway, but target competition looks much weaker with the Texans potentially using a committee to replace their No. 2 receiver. Collins should be busy Week 1 against the Bills.

  • Carnell Tate WR | TEN

    Titans' Carnell Tate: Practicing Friday

Tate (undisclosed) is in uniform for Friday's joint practice with the Seahawks, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

After missing Wednesday's practice due to stiffness, Tate is back on the field for the final session before Sunday's preseason game against Seattle. It remains to be seen if he'll play in the upcoming exhibition, but it looks like he'll be fine for Week 1.

  • Jaguars' Parker Washington: Should resume practicing next week

Washington (undisclosed) is expected to return to practice next week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Washington hasn't been practicing this week but is merely considered day-to-day, with earlier reports also suggesting a quick return was in order. While unlikely to play in Friday's preseason game against Carolina, the wideout should be back at practice not long after.

  • 49ers' De'Zhaun Stribling: Continues impressing in preseason win

Stribling secured four of five targets for 46 yards in the 49ers' 41-17 preseason win over the Chargers on Thursday.

After posting a team-high seven catches for 63 yards in his professional debut during last Thursday's preseason loss to the Titans, Stribling, who was the second 49er to see a target against the Chargers, continued impressing by tying veteran KhaDarel Hodge for the team lead in receptions and receiving yards. The rookie second-round pick already was ticketed for a larger role than initially envisioned after Ricky Pearsall had season-ending PCL surgery earlier in August, but Stribling's ability to carry over the momentum from a strong training camp into the first pair of exhibitions has his arrow pointing upward even more as the regular season approaches.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: One catch in preseason debut

Samuel brought in one of two targets for four yards in the 49ers' 41-17 preseason win over the Chargers on Thursday night.

Samuel and the rest of the healthy 49ers offensive starters were out there for the team's opening possession, and the veteran wideout ended up recording his first catch in a San Francisco uniform since Week 17 of the 2024 season. His reception came on the Niners' first play from scrimmage, and the 30-year-old figures to play a prominent role in the air attack throughout the 2026 season alongside new No. 1 receiver Mike Evans (quadriceps) and fellow offseason addition Christian Kirk (calf).

  • Ladd McConkey WR | LAC

Chargers' Ladd McConkey: Plays opening series Thursday

McConkey failed to bring in his only target in the Chargers' 41-17 preseason loss to the 49ers on Thursday night.

McConkey and the rest of the healthy Chargers offensive starters were out there to open the game Thursday, and the talented wideout couldn't corral his one target deep down the left side of the field during that first drive. McConkey's night was done after that possession, and the 2024 second-round pick will likely now turn his attention to prepping for a Week 1 home matchup against the Cardinals on Sunday, Sept. 13.

  • Texans' Xavier Hutchinson: Two targets from Stroud on Thursday

Hutchinson caught one of two targets for minus-1 yard in Thursday's 22-20 preseason loss to the Raiders.

Both of Hutchinson's targets came from starting QB C.J. Stroud on the opening drive. Hutchinson is probably the favorite to get the second-most snaps among Houston's wide receivers in the regular season behind Nico Collins following Jayden Higgins' season-ending ACL tear, but Jaylin Noel (hamstring) and Tank Dell (knee) both have more upside as pass catchers. Houston's coaching staff values Hutchinson's blocking and dependability, but he has exceeded 42 receiving yards only twice in 49 regular-season games.

  • Malik Benson WR | LV

Raiders' Malik Benson: Poor showing in second preseason game

Benson caught one of five targets for 18 yards in Thursday's 22-20 preseason win over the Texans.

Benson's stock had been on the rise thanks to a strong training camp in which he earned opportunities with the first-team offense, but the 2026 sixth-round pick produced a dud in Vegas' second preseason game. He struggled to get on the same page with fellow rookie Fernando Mendoza, and one of their incompletions was an ugly Benson drop on third down in the second quarter, which resulted in the Raiders punting rather than moving the chains. Benson still has an opportunity to carve out a substantial role in Vegas' wide receiver room, and he'll look to bounce back in next Thursday's preseason finale against the 49ers.
