  • Josh Downs WR | IND

Colts' Josh Downs: Back at practice Thursday

Downs (hip) was on the field for practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Downs sat out Wednesday's session, but his return to the field a day later bodes well for his Week 9 availability. The Colts will release their second practice report of the week later Thursday, when it will be known whether the wideout was a limited or full participant.

  • Falcons' Casey Washington: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Washington (back) didn't participate in Atlanta's practice Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.

Washington popped up on the injury report after catching one pass for 25 yards in the Week 8 loss to the Dolphins. With Drake London (hip) and Darnell Mooney (hamstring) also dealing with injuries, the Falcons could be shorthanded at receiver for Sunday's game versus the Patriots.

  • Tim Patrick WR | NYJ

Jaguars' Tim Patrick: Limited at practice Wednesday

Patrick (groin) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Patrick hurt his groin during the Jaguars' last game before their Week 8 bye versus the Rams, and now his availability for Week 9 is in jeopardy because of it. He'll have two more chances to manage a full practice before Jacksonville publishes its final practice report of the week Friday.

  • Texans' Braxton Berrios: Tending to chest issue

Berrios (chest) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

It's not obvious when Berrios hurt his chest, but that he was able to practice in some capacity Wednesday signals it's not too serious. He'll get two more chances to practice in full before Houston publishes its last practice report of the week Friday.

  • John Rhys Plumlee: Signs with Pittsburgh

Plumlee (undisclosed) signed with the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday.

Plumlee spent the offseason with the Seahawks but landed on injured reserve in late August prior to reaching an injury settlement. Plumlee will provide organizational depth behind Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph.

  • Puka Nacua WR | LAR

Rams' Puka Nacua: Officially limited in return to practice

Nacua (ankle) officially was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

After coach Sean McVay told Grosbard that Nacua would be limited in his return to practice Wednesday, the wide receiver was seen looking crisp while making cuts and running routes, per Nate Atkins of The Athletic. Nacua initially suffered a low left-ankle sprain Week 6 at Baltimore and then sat out a Week 7 matchup with the Jaguars in London, but with the benefit of a Week 8 bye, it appears he'll miss just one game as a result of the injury. He'll have two more chances to get back to full practice participation before the Rams potentially clear him ahead of Sunday's contest against the Saints.

  • Beaux Collins WR | NYG

Giants' Beaux Collins: Dealing with quad issue

Collins (quadriceps) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

It's not immediately clear when Collins picked up the injury, but his activity at practice at least suggests it's not severe. He'll have two more chances to upgrade to a full practice before the Giants' final practice report of the week is released Friday.

  • Ben Skowronek WR | PIT

Steelers' Ben Skowronek: Dealing with neck injury

Skowronek (neck) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Skowronek may have tweaked his neck during the Steelers' Week 8 loss to the Packers, when he played 39 snaps (11 on offense, 28 on special teams) while hauling in his lone target for a 13-yard catch. He has mostly served on special teams this season but would have a slightly expanded role on offense for as long as Scotty Miller is sidelined due to a broken finger. Skowronek's practice participation over the next two days will provide clarity on his chances of playing against the Colts on Sunday.

  • Scott Miller WR | CHI

Steelers' Scotty Miller: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Miller (finger) did not practice Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Miller broke his finger in practice during the Steelers' Week 8 prep, which prevented him from playing against the Packers on Sunday. He would have to return to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days in order to have a chance at playing in Week 9 against the Colts. Ben Skowronek (neck) will continue to see additional snaps at wide receiver for as long as Miller is sidelined.

  • Bryce Oliver WR | TEN

Titans' Bryce Oliver: Limited to open week

Oliver (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Oliver has missed the Titans' last six games due to a lingering knee injury, but a full practice over the next two days would put him in line to return against the Chargers on Sunday. Oliver would likely serve in a return role on special teams if he's cleared to play Week 9, though he could also see some snaps on offense if Calvin Ridley (hamstring) is cleared to play.
