Erik Ezukanma WR | PHI
Dolphins' Erik Ezukanma: Solidified on 53-man roster
Ezukanma was included on Miami's initial 53-man roster Tuesday, while fellow wideouts Preston Williams and Lynn Bowden were both cut.
Ezukanma put together an impressive preseason with the Dolphins, one highlighted by a 114-yard receiving game against the Eagles in the second week. His inclusion on the roster thus comes as no big surprising, and with Williams and Bowden cut loose, Miami is currently only carrying five wideouts heading into Week 1. Trent Sherfield currently looks like Ezukanma's only competition for the No. 4 wideout gig behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle (lower body) and Cedrick Wilson.

Michael Gallup WR | WAS
Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Impressing coach with progress
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Gallup (knee) "looks excellent" and has avoided any setbacks in his recovery from ACL repair surgery, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
McCarthy's comments are the latest hint that Gallup could play early in the season, though both the wideout and the team have said a Week 1 cameo is unlikely. The Cowboys chose to keep him on the active roster rather than moving him to injured reserve on cutdown day, a move that would have ruled Gallup out for the first four weeks of the season. He suffered the ACL tear Week 17 last season and seemingly has a shot to miss only a couple games because of it.

Scott Miller WR | CHI
Buccaneers' Scotty Miller: Nabs roster spot
Miller was included on the Buccaneers' initial 53-man roster Tuesday over Tyler Johnson, who was waived, the team's official site reports.
Johnson had a far better preseason showing than Miller, but ultimately, the fourth-year pro from Bowling Green survived final cuts while the former has already been claimed off waivers by the Texans. Miller currently slots in as the No. 6 receiver, but it's conceivable that he could play at least a minor role in the offense over the course of the season, given his downfield speed.

Bo Melton WR | GB
Bo Melton: Signs practice squad deal
The Seahawks signed Melton to their practice squad Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Melton failed to land a spot on the Seahawks' initial 53-man roster, which included six wideouts. The rookie seventh-round pick secured seven of 15 targets for 89 yards across three preseason games and will start his NFL career on the practice squad.

Keke Coutee WR | MIA
Keke Coutee: Joins Indy's practice squad
The Colts signed Coutee to their practice squad Wednesday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
Prior to being waived Tuesday, Coutee stepped in as a fill-in at slot receiver for Parris Campbell during training camp, so the 25-year-old could be the first receiver added to the Colts' roster if the team is down a receiver due to injury.

James Washington WR | ATL
Cowboys' James Washington: Placed on IR
Washington was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, ruling him out for the first four games of the regular season.
The soonest he can play is Oct. 9 against the Rams, at which point he'll be nearly 10 weeks removed from fracturing his foot during a practice. It's possible Washington misses time beyond that, as reports in early August suggested he would be out for 6-to-10 weeks.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside WR | ATL
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside: Signs practice squad deal
The Seahawks signed Arcega-Whiteside to their practice squad Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Arcega-Whiteside was traded to Seattle by Philadelphia during training camp, but he didn't secure a spot on the Seahawks' initial 53-man roster. The 2019 second-round pick has 16 receptions for 290 yards and one score across three seasons in the NFL.

Rondale Moore WR | MIN
Cardinals' Rondale Moore: Dealing with unspecified injury
Moore is one of four players coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday is a "close call" for being available Week 1 against the Chiefs, Tyler Drake of 98.7 FM Arizona Sports reports.
Moore is dealing with an unspecified injury, with Kingsbury deeming the wideout "day-to-day" without elaborating on the nature of the issue, per Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com. With DeAndre Hopkins suspended the first six weeks of the regular season, Moore has a nice opportunity awaiting him if his health cooperates.

Kadarius Toney WR | CLE
Giants' Kadarius Toney: Looks good at practice
Toney (leg) is practicing Wednesday and appears to be healthy, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Toney missed time this offseason after a minor knee surgery, and while he made it back on the field in late July for the early part of training camp, he then missed most of August with a leg injury. Head coach Brian Daboll said Monday that he's hopeful Toney will be ready for the season opener against Tennessee on Sept. 11.
