  • Marquez Callaway: Cut from Raiders' practice team

Las Vegas cut Callaway from its practice squad Tuesday.

Callaway was added to the Raiders' practice squad prior to the start of the regular season, but he's now set to become a free agent after Week 5. He has struggled since posting a career-best 698-yard season with New Orleans in 2021.

  • Collin Johnson: Signed to Chicago's practice squad

The Bears signed Johnson to their practice squad Tuesday.

In a corresponding move, the Bears cut kicker John Parker Romo from the practice squad to make room. Johnson is 26 years old and has appeared in 26 career games, last seeing regular-season action in 12 games for the Giants in 2021. He has a career 29-377-2 line on 52 targets. Johnson will provide organizational depth.

  • Trey Quinn WR | DET

Trey Quinn: Cut from Lions' practice squad

Detroit cut Quinn from its practice squad Tuesday.

A little over a week after signing with the Lions' practice team, Quinn is now set to become a free agent again. He last saw regular-season action with Jacksonville in 2020.

  • Xavier Malone WR | ATL

Zay Malone: Cut from Falcons' practice team

Atlanta cut Malone from its practice squad Tuesday, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.

After acquiring Van Jefferson in a trade with the Rams, Atlanta has decided to part ways with Malone. The undrafted rookie is now set to become a free agent.

  • Michael Bandy WR | DEN

    Michael Bandy: Loses spot again

Bandy was cut from the Broncos' practice squad Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Bandy was previously cut from and re-signed to the team's practice squad a week ago. It's not clear if the same thing will happen again once Denver makes other roster moves.

  • Michael Wilson WR | ARI

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Little output Sunday

Wilson gathered in one of two targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Bengals.

Despite logging his second-highest snap share (75 percent) of the season, Wilson had the fewest catches and yards in any of his five games as a pro to date. The rookie third-round pick continued to operate as the team's No. 2 WR behind Marquise Brown (91 percent) and ahead of Rondale Moore (67 percent). However, he may have a tough time taking advantage of that usage this Sunday against a Rams defense that has conceded the seventh-fewest yards per catch (7.0) to wide receivers this season.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Falcons' Van Jefferson: Moved to Atlanta

The Rams traded Jefferson and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Falcons for a 2025 sixth-rounder Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jefferson earned at least an 83 percent share of snaps in the Rams' first four games of the season, with Cooper Kupp (hamstring) on injured reserve. Upon Kupp's return to the lineup Week 5 against the Eagles, though, Jefferson logged just two plays. Earlier Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported L.A. was looking to move Jefferson, which has come to pass. Jefferson joins a WR-needy team in Atlanta, so he may be able to make an impact in short order alongside Drake London, Mack Hollins, KhaDarel Hodge and Scotty Miller.

  • Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Aiming to return after bye

Johnson (hamstring) said Tuesday that he expects to play in Week 7 at the Rams following the Steelers' Week 6 bye, Mark Kaboly of The Athletic reports.

After sustaining a right hamstring injury in the season opener, Johnson was given a recovery timeline of about four weeks, which is the minimum length of a stint on injured reserve. With the Steelers having played four contests since placing him on IR on Sept. 18, he'll be eligible to return following this week's bye. The team will need to designate Johnson for return next week, so that may happen as soon as Oct. 16.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Chiefs' Kadarius Toney: Draws season-high six targets

Toney reeled in five of his six targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 27-20 victory against Minnesota.

Toney has yet to produce at the level some were anticipating entering the 2023 season, but he at least took a step in that direction with five grabs Sunday, matching his season-high total from Week 2 against Jacksonville. He also turned in a season-high target count and played a season-high 25 snaps. While those are some encouraging signs, Toney's limited playing time will continue to hamper his fantasy upside, so things should remain status quo regarding his fantasy value unless he continues an upward trend of playing time.

  • Patriots' Tyquan Thornton: Returning to practice

Thornton (shoulder) is slated to participate in Tuesday's unofficial practice, Mark Daniels of The Providence Journal reports.

It's unclear if the Patriots will officially designate Thornton to return from injured reserve Tuesday, but he's making his first visible progress through the shoulder injury that has sidelined him since Aug. 17. Assuming that transaction takes place, he'll have a 21-day window from that point in which to prove his health and get back on the active roster.
