  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Scores three touchdowns in 2023

Humphrey ended the 2023 season with 13 receptions on 19 targets for 162 yards and three touchdowns.

In his first year with the Broncos, Humphrey played in all 17 games despite moving between Denver's practice squad and active roster throughout the season. The veteran wideout wasn't used much as an offensive weapon, but he was still able to finish the season tied with tight end Adam Trautman for the third-most scores among all Broncos pass catchers. Humphrey is set to become a free agent this offseason, so the 25-year-old could find himself in a new locale when the 2024 campaign begins. If he signs back with Denver, he'll likely find it difficult to see consistent playing time behind fellow wideouts Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims.

  • Broncos' Brandon Johnson: Finishes second season in Denver

Johnson played in 13 games during the 2023 campaign, finishing with 19 receptions on 30 targets for 284 yards and four touchdowns.

Johnson played in a depth role in the Broncos' wide receiver corps, limiting his opportunities throughout the season. Despite this fact, the wideout's four touchdowns were good for the second-highest total among all pass catchers in Denver. Johnson is under contract through the 2024 season and will become a restricted free agent in 2025. Heading into next season, Johnson may find it difficult to find the field consistently again if fellow receivers Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims remain on the roster.

  • James Proche WR | TEN

Browns' James Proche: Returns one punt in loss

Proche returned one punt for two yards in Saturday's 45-14 wild-card playoff loss to Houston.

Proche was a midseason acquisition and took over the punt-return duties after Cleveland traded Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Lions. Proche rarely played on offense outside of a Week 18 meaningless game. His primary body of work over four NFL seasons is that of returner, and he enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Browns' Elijah Moore: Quiet in playoff loss

Moore caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Saturday's 45-14 wild-card playoff loss to Houston.

Moore had a quiet day in the playoff loss, which mirrored his first season in a Cleveland uniform. He was on the field for 63 plays (89 percent share) Saturday, but any impactful plays were made by others. For the regular season, Moore had 59 receptions on 104 targets, 640 yards and two touchdowns. The Browns also used him as a runner nine times and as a punt returner, following through on a preseason plan to feature Moore as a versatile weapon. However, the wide receiver rarely was a factor in a Browns win. Still, he was on the field for 75 percent of the offensive snaps and was third on the team in targets. If that usage continues next season, Moore will be in position to make a bigger impact in 2024, the final season of his current contract.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Status hinges on pregame workout

Watson, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's wild-card game in Dallas, will test his injured right hamstring out in pregame warmups before a determination is made if he'll play in the postseason opener, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Packers reportedly have some optimism that Watson will be able to play for the first time since the Dec. 3 win over the Chiefs, but he'll need to make it though the workout no worse for the wear in order to make himself available Sunday. With that in mind, Watson appears to be shaping up a game-time decision, with official word on his status likely to arrive when Green Bay releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the game's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Even if Watson is cleared to play, he could be subject to a limited snap count after missing Green Bay's last five games.

  • Justin Watson WR | HOU

Chiefs' Justin Watson: Makes two catches

Watson recorded two receptions on two targets for 20 yards in Saturday's 26-7 win over the Dolphins.

Watson has emerged as Kansas City's third pass catcher at points this season, though he was one of four players with either two or three targets in Saturday's win. Instead, targets were heavily concentrated between Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce. With the performance, Watson failed to top 30 yards for the first time out of the last four games in which he's received at least 40 percent of the offensive snaps.

  • Rashee Rice WR | KC

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Big performance in wild-card round

Rice recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 130 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 26-7 win over the Dolphins.

Rice was the Chiefs' top pass catcher by any measure Saturday. He kicked off the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown reception on the team's first offensive possession, and he also chipped in three receptions of at least 20 yards. With the performance, he now has at least 90 receiving yards in four of his last seven games. Rice suffered a brief injury scare early in the third quarter but was able to return to the game and should be ready to go for Kansas City's divisional-round matchup.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Quiet finish to season

Waddle (ankle) brought in two of five targets for 31 yards and rushed once for nine yards in the Dolphins' 26-7 wild-card loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night.

Waddle was able to suit up after putting in three limited practices during the week following a two-game absence to close out the regular season. However, as his final numbers indicate, the third-year pro wasn't able to make any appreciable impact in the frigid temperatures. The disappointing conclusion to a once promising season aside, Waddle once again thrived as an ideal complement to Tyreek Hill in 2023, posting a 72-1,014-4 line during the regular season over 104 targets -- his third 1,000-yard tally in as many NFL campaigns -- and adding three carries for 12 yards across 14 games. With Waddle heading into the final year of his contract in 2024, the potential for an extension for the 2021 first-round pick figures to be the subject of plenty of discussion this offseason.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Relatively quiet in playoff loss

Hill secured five of eight targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 26-7 wild-card loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night.

Hill's much-ballyhooed return to Arrowhead Stadium did have one standout moment, a 53-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter that served as the Dolphins' first points of the night. However, the perennial Pro Bowler was otherwise impressively shut down by the Chiefs' secondary, netting just nine yards on his four other catches. Hill also spent some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter, although there was no report of an injury. Despite the highly disappointing end to what once appeared to be a potential Super Bowl season for the Dolphins, Hill arguably profiled as the best receiver in the league while establishing new career highs during the regular season in receiving yards (1,799) and targets (171), as well as tying the career-best 119 receptions he'd recorded in one additional game in 2022.

  • Texans' John Metchie: Three catches against Browns

Metchie recorded three receptions on three targets for 44 yards in Saturday's 45-14 win over the Browns.

Metchie has seen a boost in role to close the regular season and in the first game of the postseason due to Houston dealing with ongoing injuries to its receiving corps. Noah Brown (shoulder) exited early in the first quarter of Saturday's win and didn't return, allowing Metchie to see three targets for the third time in his last four games. Saturday's production marked his highest yardage total of the campaign, which came primarily from a 27-yard catch late in the first quarter to set up a touchdown two plays later. If Brown remains sidelined for the Texans' divisional-round matchup, Metchie should continue to see an uptick in involvement in the offense.
