Malik Turner WR | SF
49ers' Malik Turner: Signs with San Francisco
The 49ers signed Turner to a one-year deal Thursday.
With Trent Williams holding out, it opened up a roster spot in San Francisco. Turner appeared in three games for the Niners in 2022 but was out of the league last season after spending most of last summer with the Colts. Turner is now 28 years old and has 29 career catches across 44 contests.

Alec Pierce WR | IND
Colts' Alec Pierce: Over his foot issue
Pierce (foot) is participating in practice at training camp this week, 105.7 The Fan's Kevin Bowen reports.
Pierce missed the final day of mandatory minicamp last month, but it was termed precautionary at the time. The third-year wideout is back on the field and was working with the first-team offense alongside Michael Pittman and Josh Downs, notably ahead of rookie Adonai Mitchell. Pierce has also seen reps as a return man with the new kickoff rule going into effect in 2024.

Ashton Dulin WR | IND
Colts' Ashton Dulin: Back for camp
Dulin was spotted working out during Thursday's practice, Jake Arthur of SI.com reports.
The Malone product is continuing to work back from the ACL tear he suffered before the beginning of Indianapolis' 2023 season, but it's a positive sign to see him on the field at all. If the recovery process continues going well for Dulin, he could be a full participant in practices in the near future.

John Ross WR | PHI
Eagles' John Ross: Seeing first-team work
Ross was spotted working with the Eagles' first-team offense Thursday, Brandon Lee Gowton of BGN Radio reports.
Parris Campbell worked as the Eagles' No. 3 wide receiver during the team's first day of camp, but it now appears that Ross will get a shot to compete for that spot as well. The 28-year-old wideout's most recent in-game action came back in 2021 with the Giants, when he recorded 11 receptions for 224 yards and one touchdown across 12 games (203 offensive snaps). Philadelphia has been in search of a third wide receiver for quite a long time, and it seems as if Ross could have the opportunity to take that role.

Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN
Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Present but not practicing
Chase (contract) is present on the sideline but not practicing for the second straight day at Bengals camp Thursday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
One of the many star wideouts across the league looking for a new contract, Chase is following Brandon Aiyuk's lead and "holding in" at Bengals camp. He's observed workouts from the side each of the first two days of training camp. In addition to Aiyuk and Chase, CeeDee Lamb is another receiver looking for a big extension, except Lamb is away from the team completely and is holding out. Bengals owner Mike Brown recently said Chase's extension could take a while.

Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Participating in camp
Pittman (knee) participated in Thursday's training camp practice, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
With Pittman past a minor knee issue that he encountered during OTAs, the 26-year-old worked with the Colts' first-team offense alongside fellow WRs Josh Downs and Alec Pierce on Thursday. As the coming campaign approaches, Pittman is slated to reprise his role as a primary target in an Indy passing attack that will be helmed by promising second-year QB Anthony Richardson. In 16 regular-season contests in 2023, Pittman caught 109 of his 156 targets for 1,152 yards and four TDs. It remains to be seen if the pace of Pittman's volume from last year is sustainable, but it's nonetheless reasonable to expect the 2020 second-rounder to continue to garner enough targets to maintain weekly fantasy utility this season.

Jalen McMillan WR | TB
Buccaneers' Jalen McMillan: Shines at practice
McMillan excelled at Thursday's practice, catching at least two touchdown passes from starting QB Baker Mayfield, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
Greg Auman of Fox Sports and Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site confirm that McMillan was one of Tampa Bay's standouts during the second day of training camp practices. The rookie third-round pick is expected to compete with incumbent No. 3 receiver Trey Palmer, a 2023 sixth-round selection who had only 385 yards on 68 targets last year (5.7 yards per target). Palmer may theoretically be a better fit now that Chris Godwin is moving back to the slot as his primary position -- which pushes the third WR out to the perimeter more -- but McMillan is emerging as an early favorite for the No. 3 job.

Curtis Samuel WR | BUF
Bills' Curtis Samuel: Making noise at camp
Samuel has been a standout through the first two days of Bills training camp, Anthony Prohaska of Cover 1 Sports reports.
Samuel's explosiveness and versatility have flashed early at training camp, per Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard, and those are traits that could be maximized in offensive coordinator Joe Brady's familiar scheme. It was while paired with Brady that Samuel enjoyed a career year with Carolina in 2020, surpassing 1,000 yards from scrimmage. He now faces opportunity in a high-powered offense with significant competition, but no truly solidified pecking order. Rookie second-round pick Keon Coleman projects as the clearest fit for perimeter snaps, while Khalil Shakir and Samuel could suffer from overlap in the slot. Second-year TE Dalton Kincaid also threatens to dominate targets. Still, Samuel's unique set of tools could also lead to him earning designed plays and backfield touches, which could bring notable fantasy value if he's able to consistently make plays outside of three-wide sets.

JuJu Smith-Schuster WR | KC
Patriots' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Working ahead of youngsters
Smith-Schuster and K.J. Osborn were the first wide receivers through drills Thursday, Henry McKenna of FOX Sports reports.
The new coaching staff in New England unsurprisingly seems to be deferring to the most experienced players at the start of training camp, but fantasy drafters figure to remain more interested in rookies Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker as well as second-year pro DeMario Douglas. Competition for WR roles should be wide open, perhaps giving Smith-Schuster a chance to revive his career if he isn't totally washed up from a physical standpoint. Reports from spring practices weren't especially promising in that regard, even though Smith-Schuster is only 27 years old.

K.J. Osborn WR | TEN
Patriots' K.J. Osborn: First through drills at camp
Osborn and JuJu Smith-Schuster were the first wide receivers through drills Thursday, Henry McKenna of FOX Sports reports.
This is unlikely to change anyone's mind about rookie second-round pick Ja'Lynn Polk and second-year pro DeMario Douglas being the New England wideouts generating the most fantasy attention. Osborn has a chance at a top-three role and quite a bit of playing time, but his output as the No. 3 receiver in Minnesota the past three seasons suggests he's highly unlikely to be targeted at a high rate even if he's on the field a lot. He signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Patriots in March, setting him up to compete with Polk, Douglas, Smith-Schuster, rookie fourth-round pick Javon Baker and (eventually) Kendrick Bourne (ACL tear).
