  • Panthers' Dalevon Campbell: Claimed by Carolina

Campbell was claimed off waivers by the Panthers on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Campbell was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday despite leading the team with 147 preseason receiving yards, but his efforts didn't go unnoticed, as the Panthers have swooped in to add Campbell to their 53-man roster after trading away veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen to the Vikings on Wednesday. Campbell, an undrafted rookie out of South Carolina, figures to begin the regular season in a depth role behind Tetairoa McMillan (hamstring), Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker and David Moore in Carolina's inexperienced wide receiver room.

  • Trey Palmer WR | NO

Saints' Trey Palmer: Claimed by Saints

The Saints won a waiver claim for Palmer on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Palmer jumps from one NFC South team to another after sliding down the depth chart in Tampa Bay the past couple years. The Saints don't have nearly as much talent at wide receiver, but they currently have fewer injuries at the position, which means Palmer is unlikely to have a significant Week 1 role. A 2023 sixth-round pick, Palmer got a lot of playing time as a rookie but produced just 385 yards on 68 targets (5.7 YPT) before dropping to 22 targets (and improving to 7.8 YPT) in a depth role last year. He's the second late addition at WR in New Orleans following a trade for Devaughn Vele last week. The depth chart now looks a bit better behind locked-in starters Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, but the Saints' QB situation remains among the worst in the league -- the team is starting Spencer Rattler in Week 1 against Arizona.

  • Austin Trammell: Waived after team trades for WR

Trammell was waived by the Jaguars on Wednesday, Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.

Trammell made it through cutdown day, only to get waived the following day to make room on the roster for trade acquisition Tim Patrick. Trammell will likely latch on with Jacksonville's practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

  • Kendrick Bourne: Let go by Pats

New England released Bourne (foot) on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Bourne was one of eight wide receivers to make the Patriots' initial 53-man roster Tuesday, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that he then requested to be released. Now healthy after having missed most of August with a foot injury, Bourne figures to seek an opportunity elsewhere in the league where he has a clearer path to getting on the field as a depth contributor. The 30-year-old veteran could be a fit for San Francisco, where he played the first four years of his NFL career and could help bolster the team's banged-up receiver corps.

  • Beaux Collins WR | NYG

Giants' Beaux Collins: Makes 53-man roster

Collins is included on the Giants' initial 53-man roster.

Collins is a bit of a Cinderella story -- he signed with New York as a free agent in late April after not being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Notre Dame product earned the roster spot with a strong training camp, and though he caught only one pass in preseason play, it was an 80-yard connection with Russell Wilson. While Collins will begin the season at the bottom half of New York's wideout depth chart, he could have a chance to move up if he performs well -- the team's receiving corps may have room to shuffle behind Malik Nabers (toe/shoulder/back), especially with an entirely new QB room offering a different skill set than last year's iteration.

  • Rashee Rice WR | KC

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Agreeing to six-game suspension

Rice and the NFL are finalizing an agreement to suspend him for the first six games of the 2025 season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Rice will first be eligible to play Oct. 19 against Las Vegas in Week 7. He had a meeting with the league scheduled for Sept. 30 but ended up agreeing to a deal that will get him back in the lineup before mid-season. The NFL and NFLPA are now working to finalize a settlement. The Chiefs are three-point favorites against the Chargers at online sports betting sites.

  • Garrett Greene: Waived by TB

Greene was waived Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Greene showcased his versatility in the preseason, as the former West Virginia quarterback scored a receiving touchdown in the preseason finale and also contributed on special teams. That wasn't enough to make Tampa Bay's 53-man roster, but Greene could land on the practice squad after passing through waivers.

  • Dennis Houston: Waived by Bucs

Houston (groin) was waived Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Houston's groin injury has healed, but he failed to make Tampa Bay's initial 53-man roster. The 26-year-old wide receiver will be a candidate for Tampa Bay's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

  • Rashee Rice WR | KC

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: NFL wants six-game suspension

The NFL aims to suspend Rice six games beginning at the start of the regular season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Rice and the NFL are scheduled for a Sept. 30 disciplinary hearing, reportedly to discuss a potential 6-to-8 week suspension, but it instead appears that the third-year wideout could be immediately suspended six games, thus missing time to begin the regular season rather than later in the year, or even potentially in 2026. It's possible that this development is indicative of a potential settlement between Rice and the NFL, and in any case it now looks like a resolution before Week 1 is realistically on the table. However the situation ultimately plays out, fantasy managers will need to be prepared to proceed without Rice for a portion of the 2025 season.

  • Falcons' Casey Washington: Makes team out of camp

Washington made the Falcons' initial 53-man roster Tuesday.

The 2024 sixth-round pick appeared in eight games with the Falcons as a rookie, securing one catch on two targets for 14 yards across nine offensive snaps. The Falcons opted to keep seven wideouts on the initial 53-man roster, likely as insurance for Darnell Mooney (shoulder) and Jamal Agnew (oblique). Given the injuries, Washington may see a few snaps behind Drake London, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge during Week 1.
