Kenny Yeboah TE | ARI
Cardinals' Kenny Yeboah: Questionable to return Thursday
Yeboah suffered a hamstring injury and is questionable to return to Thursday night's preseason contest against the Panthers, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Yeboah sustained the injury in the third quarter, and he may not be able to return to action before the end of the contest. The tight end reeled in both of his targets for 10 yards before his departure. In his absence, Teagan Quitoriano and Rivaldo Fairweather are candidates to see added reps at tight end versus Carolina.

Princeton Fant TE | DAL
Cowboys' Princeton Fant: Moved to IR
The Cowboys placed Fant (knee) on injured reserve Thursday.
Fant suffered a torn ACL and sprained MCL, eliminating any chance for the tight end to participate in the 2026 season. He is scheduled to have surgery for both injuries within the next several days. The fourth-year player out of Tennessee has played in 11 career regular-season games and will be a free agent in 2027. In a corresponding move, the Cowboys claimed tight end Zack Kuntz off waivers from the Raiders.
-
Sean McKeon TE | IND
Colts' Sean McKeon: Placed on injured reserve
The Colts placed McKeon (undisclosed) on injured reserve Thursday.
McKeon signed a reserve/future deal with the Colts in January. The tight end's undisclosed issue will result in him missing the entirety of the 2026 season. McKeon played in one game for the Colts last season, logging eight offensive snaps and six special-teams snaps. In a corresponding move, the Colts signed tight end Pharaoh Brown.

Pharaoh Brown TE | IND
Colts' Pharaoh Brown: Signs with Indianapolis
The Colts signed Brown to a contract Thursday.
Brown played in seven regular-season games for the Cardinals last season, accumulating two receptions on two targets for one yard over 59 offensive snaps and also logging 77 plays on special teams. The Colts placed fellow tight end Sean McKeon (undisclosed) on IR in a corresponding move.

Lance Mason TE | PIT
Lance Mason: Cut loose by Seattle
Mason was waived by the Seahawks on Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.
Mason signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent May 1, but he will now be placed on waivers. The tight completed his collegiate career with a senior campaign with Wisconsin in 2025, reeling in 30 of 53 targets for 398 yards and four touchdowns. If Mason goes unclaimed on waivers, there's a chance that he sticks around with the Seahawks as a member of the team's practice squad.

Jelani Woods TE | NYJ
Jets' Jelani Woods: Making an impact
Quarterback Geno Smith mentioned Woods as a standout player in training camp, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
The 2022 Colts third-round pick re-signed with the Jets in early March and has made an impression on the team's new quarterback. With first-round rookie Kenyon Sadiq (abdomen) unable to practice for the time being, Woods has been making his case to climb the depth chart. Mason Taylor and Jeremy Ruckert are also contending for the depth chart slotting, however, so Woods will presumably need to keep up his current level of play to have a chance of cracking the 53- man roster.
-
Josh Kattus TE | CIN
Bengals' Josh Kattus: Makes camp debut
The Bengals activated Kattus (undisclosed) off the active/non-football injury list Thursday.
Kattus suffered an undisclosed injury before training camp that rendered him unable to participate in the Bengals' first week of activities. The tight end has since passed his physical and was able to practice with the team Thursday. Now healthy, the undrafted free agent out of Kentucky will have to make up for lost time and make an impact to have any chance of making the 53-man roster.
-
Michael Mayer TE | LV
Raiders' Michael Mayer: Back at practice
Mayer (nose) returned to practice Thursday, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports.
Mayer suffered a nose injury during Monday's session, but he's back at practice and thus slated to continue to work behind top TE Brock Bowers. Though Bowers will no doubt see heavy volume this coming season, Mayer also figures to make his mark in the two-TE formations the Raiders figure to utilize regularly, with their WR corps very much a work in progress.

Kenyon Sadiq TE | NYJ
Jets' Kenyon Sadiq: Out for now, should play Week 1
Head coach Aaron Glenn expressed optimism Thursday that Sadiq (hernia) will be available for the start of the regular season, though the rookie first-round pick will likely miss "a couple weeks" of practices.
After undergoing hernia surgery in the spring, Sadiq was cleared in advance of training camp but practiced just three days before being shut down earlier this week when he experienced a setback in his recovery. Though the missed practice time in camp and the preseason isn't ideal for a young player fighting for a starting job, Sadiq still looks on track to be ready to go for Week 1, if not the Jets' exhibition finale Aug. 28 versus the Giants. While Sadiq is sidelined for the time being, Mason Taylor will likely take most of the reps at tight end with the first-team offense.
