  • Jack Stoll TE | NO

Saints' Jack Stoll: Signed to Saints' 53-man roster

The Saints signed Stoll from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.

Stoll failed to make the Saints' initial 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He elected to stay in New Orleans on the practice squad and was elevated for Week 1 against the Cardinals, when he logged 27 snaps (18 on offense, nine on special teams) but did not record a stat otherwise. With Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) both on IR, Stoll and Moliki Matavao will serve as the Saints' backup tight ends behind Juwan Johnson for the early portion of the 2025 regular season.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Move to IR official

The 49ers placed Kittle (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Kittle will miss at least the next four games before potentially returning to action Week 6 versus the Buccaneers. Before departing Sunday's 17-13 win over the Seahawks with a hamstring injury, Kittle produced four catches for 25 yards and a touchdown on four targets over just 20 snaps. Luke Farrell and Jake Tonges are left as the only healthy tight ends on the 49ers' roster, though fullback Kyle Juszczyk is also an option to take on some of Kittle's pass-catching duties. San Francisco could also elevate Brayden Willis from the practice squad to bolster the depth of the group.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Headed for IR

The 49ers are expected to place Kittle (hamstring) on injured reserve within the next few days, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The tight end's impending move to IR indicates that the 49ers are preparing for him to miss at least the next four games. With Kittle out until at least Week 6 against the Buccaneers, Luke Farrell (42 offensive snaps, 1-4-0 receiving line on one target in Week 1) and Jake Tonges (28 snaps, 3-15-1 line on three targets) are the healthy tight ends left on the 53-man roster. The 49ers are expected to add another tight end or two prior to Sunday's game in New Orleans, but none are likely to command the type of target share that a healthy Kittle would.

  • Charlie Kolar TE | BAL

Ravens' Charlie Kolar: No targets vs. Bills

Kolar was not targeted over 30 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Bills.

With Isaiah Likely out, Kolar moved into a bigger role in the Baltimore offense as he was out there for 60 percent of the snaps. He played just seven fewer snaps than Mark Andrews. However, the healthy snap count did not translate into targets. Kolar helped out as a blocker, and Baltimore only threw it 19 times in total. The fourth-year tight end should have healthy snap counts while Likely is sidelined, but Sunday's outing shows that snaps won't necessarily translate into production.

  • Payne Durham TE | TB

Buccaneers' Payne Durham: No involvement in Week 1 win

Durham didn't draw a target across 15 snaps from scrimmage in the Buccaneers' 23-20 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

The Buccaneers' No. 2 tight end was 35 snaps behind Cade Otton, who'd cleared his injury designation by Thursday and filled his usual robust role. Durham is likely to find targets sparse while Otton remains healthy, considering Baker Mayfield has plenty of other pass catchers to focus on even with Chris Godwin (ankle) and Jalen McMillan (IR-neck) currently unavailable.

  • Hunter Long TE | JAC

Jaguars' Hunter Long: Hauls in first touchdown

Long caught his lone target for a six-yard touchdown during Sunday's 26-10 win against the Panthers.

The 27-year-old played just seven offensive snaps but cashed in for his first NFL touchdown during the second quarter. Johnny Mundt played 50 percent of the offensive snaps as Jacksonville's No. 2 tight end, so Long appears entrenched as the team's third tight end.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Three catches in Week 1 win

Hockenson secured three of four targets for 15 yards in the Vikings' 27-24 win over the Bears on Monday night.

The Vikings' passing attack was mostly quiet the majority of the night as J.J. McCarthy made his NFL regular-season debut, helping lead to a modest showing for the veteran tight end. Hockenson entered the season with elevated expectations considering he's now nearly two years removed from suffering multiple knee ligament tears Week 16 of the 2023 season, but his production will naturally be largely dependent on how quickly McCarthy gets his feet under him. Hockenson will next take aim at the Falcons defense in a Week 2 home matchup on Sunday night.

  • Gunnar Helm TE | TEN

Titans' Gunnar Helm: One catch in regular-season debut

Helm recorded one catch (on two targets) for 16 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Broncos.

Helm was on the field for 40 percent of offensive snaps, a relatively impressive mark considering it was his first regular-season game as a pro. He saw both of his targets in the first half of the first quarter, though the Titans' passing attack wasn't on track for most of the game. Helm may progress slowly, but he should have the chance to emerge as more of a consistent contributor later in the season.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Three catches in Week 1

Okonkwo recorded three receptions (on four targets) for 19 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Broncos.

Okonkwo's four targets were good enough for the third-highest mark on the team behind only Calvin Ridley and Elic Ayomanor. His longest gain of the day went for 14 yards, the majority of which came after the catch. The Titans' passing attack struggled to get much traction Week 1, but Okonkwo was on the field for 88 percent of the offensive snaps, which bodes well for his potential to make an impact moving forward.

  • Jack Stoll TE | NO

Jack Stoll: Returns to practice squad

Stoll reverted to the Saints' practice squad Monday.

Stoll was elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Cardinals and logged 18 snaps on offense and nine on special teams. He can be elevated two more times this season before New Orleans would have to officially sign him to the active roster.
