  • Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Not practicing

    Rodriguez (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.

While Brian Robinson (hamstring) was sidelined for a second game in a row in this past Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Jets, Rodriguez ran for 57 yards and two touchdowns before exiting after suffering an injury of his own. The rookie sported a walking boot after the game and was scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday, making his absence from practice Wednesday the furthest thing from a surprise. Robinson, meanwhile, returned to practice as a limited participant, potentially setting the stage for him to rejoin Antonio Gibson in the backfield as quarterback Jacoby Brissett prepares for his first start of the season.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Limited at Wednesday's walkthrough

Jones (knee/finger) was a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Fellow running back AJ Dillon (thumb) also opened the week of practice with limitations. For the first time since Week 1, Jones looked like his usual dynamic self in this past Sunday's 33-30 win at Carolina, taking 21 carries for 127 yards and hauling in one of three targets for eight yards. Assuming he continues to suit up this Sunday in Minnesota, Jones could get more involvement in the passing game to go along with his heavy workload on the ground if one or more of the Green Bay wideouts listed on the the Week 17 injury report [Christian Watson (hamstring), Jayden Reed (toe/chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle)] aren't available to play.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Returns as limited participant

Robinson (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.

Robinson took part in his first official on-field work since injuring his hamstring back in Week 13 against the Dolphins. He was sidelined for the entire second half of that contest and also the Commanders' next two games following a Week 14 bye. Reserve running back Chris Rodriguez didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle issue, so Antonio Gibson and Derrick Gore are the team's current healthy options at the position. Robinson will have two more opportunities this week to increase his activity level and potentially put himself in a position to return to action Sunday versus the 49ers.

  • Kareem Hunt RB | KC

Browns' Kareem Hunt: Cleared for Thursday

Hunt (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Jets, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.

The Browns have listed Hunt with a groin injury for much of the season, including each week since late November. He's yet to miss a game since signing with the team in September and should be ready to handle his usual role this Thursday as the No. 2 back behind Jerome Ford. While both backs scored touchdowns in Sunday's win over Houston, circumstances generally have been unfavorable for backfield production recently with head coach Kevin Stefanski shifting to a pass-heavy approach amidst a glut of offensive line injuries and a string of inefficient rushing performances from Ford and/or Hunt. Additionally, No. 3 back Pierre Strong has been getting some touches and snaps each week, further limiting Ford and Hunt.

  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Colts' Zack Moss: Deemed limited Wednesday

Moss (forearm) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.

Moss didn't practice at all last week before being ruled out for this past Sunday's 29-10 loss to the Falcons. With a limited listing to begin Week 17 prep, Moss looks as though he'll have a better chance at returning to action this weekend against the Raiders. If he does play versus Las Vegas, he'll rejoin a Colts backfield that welcomed lead runner Jonathan Taylor back from a three-game absence in Week 16.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Another limited practice

Miller (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports

Miller missed the past six games but apparently was close to returning for last Thursday's 30-22 loss to the Rams. He's unlikely to have a major role in the offense even if he's cleared to play Week 17 against Tampa Bay, but the Saints might give him a few more chances Week 18 if they're out of the playoff mix at that point.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Still not practicing

Stevenson (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Given that Stevenson wasn't participating in what Lazar described as a light walk-through session Wednesday, the running back's status for Sunday's game against the Bills remains cloudy. Stevenson has already missed three straight contests, and if he remains out this weekend, Ezekiel Elliott would be in store for another turn as New England's lead back.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Sidelined at practice Wednesday

Mostert (ankle) wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Mostert was limited to a season-low 19 snaps in this past Sunday's 22-20 win over the Cowboys while managing the ankle issue. Though Mostert is off the field to begin Week 17 prep, head coach Mike McDaniel expects the running back to be available Sunday in Baltimore, even with few or no practice reps leading up to the game.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Panthers' Miles Sanders: Toe no longer an issue

Sanders (toe) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.

Sanders hurt his toe during this past Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Packers, but his full participation Wednesday suggests the running back isn't dealing with any lingering effects from the injury. He should continue to work as the backup to Chuba Hubbard -- who was a limited participant Wednesday due to a hamstring injury -- in Week 17 against the Jaguars.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Bears' D'Onta Foreman: Practices fully Wednesday

Foreman (personal) was a full practice participant Wednesday.

Foreman missed this past Sunday's win over the Cardinals due to a personal matter, which allowed Khalil Herbert to dominate the Bears backfield to the tune of 21 touches for 121 yards from scrimmage and one rushing touchdown on a 51 percent snap share. Meanwhile, rookie Roschon Johnson had 12 touches for 53 total yards on 46 percent of the snaps. With Foreman back in the saddle Wednesday with no practice limitations, his presence may throw a wrench into the breakdown of reps between the trio Sunday against the Falcons.
