David Montgomery RB | HOU
Lions' David Montgomery: Another touchdown in win
Montgomery rushed 12 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for a 40-yard reception in the Lions' 42-29 win over the Seahawks on Monday night.
Montgomery saw backfield mate Jahmyr Gibbs receive a pair of rushing opportunities from inside the five-yard line that he parlayed into short touchdowns. However, those were preceded by Montgomery's own one-yard scoring rush in the first quarter that served as the first points of the night for either squad. He also contributed a career-long reception on the Lions' first play from scrimmage in the second half, igniting a drive that culminated in an Amon-Ra St. Brown touchdown pass to Jared Goff. Montgomery has recorded a rushing touchdown in each of the first four games of the season, and although he saw Gibbs log two more carries than him Monday night, the former should continue in a dependable role in a Week 6 road showdown with the Cowboys following a Week 5 bye.

Trey Benson RB | ARI
Cardinals' Trey Benson: Significant usage in garbage time
Benson tallied nine carries for 50 yards and one fumble, which was recovered by the Cardinals, during Sunday's 42-14 loss to the Commanders.
Prior to the fourth quarter, Benson's sole touch was a six-yard run early in the second quarter. The rookie third-round pick then garnered eight consecutive rushes in the fourth quarter to close out what was a lopsided defeat. Considering almost all of his production happened in garbage time, Benson has yet to supplant Emari Demercado as the preferred option to spell Arizona's top backfield option James Conner.

Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET
Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: Two rushing TDs in win
Gibbs rushed 14 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns and wasn't targeted in the Lions' 42-29 win over the Seahawks on Monday night.
Although the lack of work in the passing game was less than ideal, Gibbs' fantasy managers had to be elated with seeing the talented back get two opportunities from inside the five-yard line that culminated in touchdowns, considering how often he's frequently passed over for David Montgomery in such scenarios. Gibbs went in from three yards and one yard out in the second quarter, his first trips to the end zone on the ground since Week 1. He's yet to crack the 100-yard threshold this season, but he's now on an impressive three-game run of efficient work on the ground that's seen him amass 245 yards on 43 carries. Gibbs now gets a chance for some early-season rest via a Week 5 bye before returning to action on the road Sunday, Oct. 13 against a short-handed Cowboys defense that's struggled to stop the run.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Scores thrice in MNF loss
Walker rushed 12 times for 80 yards and three touchdowns while adding four receptions for 36 yards in Monday's 42-29 loss to the Lions.
Walker was cleared from his oblique injury prior to Monday's kickoff, affording fantasy managers a comfortable decision to start Seattle's lead back for a monster three-score game. The 23-year-old missed the Seahawk's previous two games with the aforementioned injury, and he clearly was chomping at the bit to get back out there after a standout effort. A healthy Walker heads into a Week 5 matchup against the Giants on Sunday.

Emari Demercado RB | KC
Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Earns five touches Sunday
Demercado notched four carries for 24 yards, hauled in his only target for no yards, had one kick return for 16 yards and recovered a fumble during Sunday's 24-14 defeat to the Commanders.
James Conner continues to dominate the Cardinals backfield, earning a 58 percent snap share and turning 19 touches, 18 of them rushes, into 113 yards from scrimmage and one TD on the ground. Behind Conner, Demercado logged more time on offense (24 percent) than rookie third-rounder Trey Benson (19 percent), but the latter had more touches (nine carries) for higher output (50 yards). The majority of Benson's work occurred with the game well out of hand in the waning minutes, though, so Demercado remains Arizona's No. 2 RB for the time being.

Tyjae Spears RB | TEN
Titans' Tyjae Spears: Finds end zone in MNF win
Spears rushed 15 times for 39 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for zero yards in Monday's 31-12 win over the Dolphins.
Spears scored a seven-yard touchdown on a direct snap in the third quarter. He finished with seven fewer carries than Tony Pollard, who rushed 22 times for 88 yards and a touchdown of his own. Both running backs got robust workloads as Tennessee's running game benefited from a positive game script, but Pollard continues to see about a 60/40 edge in touches over Spears. That distribution is unlikely to change Week 6 against the Colts after Tennessee's Week 5 bye.
-
Tony Pollard RB | TEN
Titans' Tony Pollard: Heavy workload in Week 4 win
Pollard rushed 22 times for 88 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 20 yards in Monday's 31-12 win over the Dolphins.
Pollard set up the game's first touchdown with a 41-yard run, as Tyjae Spears ran it in from seven yards out on the next play. The former Cowboys running back scored one of his own from four yards out in the final minute, giving Pollard two touchdowns through four games with the Titans. He finished with 22 carries to Spears' 15 as the Titans lost quarterback Will Levis to a shoulder injury early and went run-heavy against the offensively challenged Dolphins. After a Week 5 bye, Pollard should continue to operate as the 1A option in Tennessee's backfield, regardless of whether Levis or Mason Rudolph starts under center against the Colts in Week 6.

De'Von Achane RB | MIA
Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Stymied in Week 4 loss
Achane rushed 10 times for 15 yards and brought in all three targets for 14 yards in the Dolphins' 31-12 loss to the Titans on Monday night.
Achane's forgettable numbers were essentially a microcosm of the type of night it was for the Dolphins offense as a whole. The speedy back had a long run of only five yards and was repeatedly stymied, and both his rushing and receiving yardage totals were season lows. Achane logged just one more carry than rookie backfield mate Jaylen Wright, who played more than expected due to Raheem Mostert's (chest) inactive status and the fact Jeff Wilson suffered a knee injury in pregame warmups. Achane does have a favorable Week 5 matchup against the equally hapless Patriots this coming Sunday, but with Miami's quarterback situation also shaky irrespective of who's under center, it remains to be seen if he'll have enough running room to contribute meaningful numbers.
-
Sean Tucker RB | TB
Buccaneers' Sean Tucker: Logs two touches in win
Tucker rushed once for three yards and brought in his only target for 14 yards in the Buccaneers' 33-16 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Tucker logged a season-high six snaps from scrimmage and logged his first reception of the season in the process. The second-year back continues to play his largest role on special teams, as opportunities behind Rachaad White and Bucky Irving will continue to be scarce as long as the duo is healthy.
-
Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Saints' Jamaal Williams: Logs five touches versus Atlanta
Williams logged three rushes for 11 yards and caught all two targets for eight yards during Sunday's 26-24 defeat to the Falcons.
Williams once again played sparingly behind starting running back Alvin Kamara. The 29-year-old backup has only had a significant role during garbage time in back-to-back blowout wins Weeks 1 and 2. Instead, Taysom Hill has been the No. 2 rushing option when healthy for the Saints. Hill logged six carries for 24 yards and two touchdowns Sunday before sitting out the entire second half with a ribs injury; yet, Williams still logged zero carries and just two targets during the second half. Williams' lack of usage when Hill has been injured over the last two weeks casts plenty of doubt on the former's opportunities moving forward.
