  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Listed as limited in walkthrough

Cook (toe) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice.

Though Wednesday's session wasn't a standard practice, Cook's limited participation suggests that he's trending in the right direction after having missed Monday's 23-20 win over the Jets. Thursday's practice will provide added context regarding his status for this weekend's game against the Titans. If Cook remains out Sunday, Ray Davis would serve as the Bills' lead option on the ground.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Good to go for Week 7

Kamara (hand) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game versus the Broncos, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.

Kamara was listed as limited on all three of the Saints' Week 7 practice reports due to a hand injury, but it won't stop him from suiting up for a seventh game in a row to start the season. He's averaging 22 touches for 111 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring seven total touchdowns in six contests on the campaign. His workload shouldn't be affected by the potential season debut of second-year back Kendre Miller this week.

  • Zamir White RB | LV

Raiders' Zamir White: Looks good at practice

White (groin) is practicing Wednesday, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports.

White is trending toward a return for Sunday's game at the Rams, after missing the past two games. He returned to practice Friday as a limited participant and now looks to be at running full speed during Wednesday's session. It's unclear if White will return to the lead role once he's healthy, or if he'll come off the bench behind Alexander Mattison. Either way, the Raiders haven't signaled any plans to lean on a workhorse rather than taking a committee approach out of their backfield.

  • Steelers' Cordarrelle Patterson: Not practicing to begin week

Patterson (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice session.

Patterson has missed the Steelers' last two games after injuring his ankle Week 4 against the Colts. He has yet to practice since sustaining the injury, and he is in jeopardy of missing a third straight game Sunday against the Jets. Aaron Shampklin will likely be active as the Steelers' No. 3 back behind Najee Harris (rib) and Jaylen Warren for Week 7 if Patterson can't play.

  • De'Von Achane RB | MIA

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Logs full practice

Achane (concussion) practiced fully Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Achane shed his non-contact jersey at Wednesday's practice, and the running back's listed full participation indicates that he's trending toward being available Sunday against the Colts, barring any setbacks. Assuming Achane officially clears the NFL's concussion protocol within the next couple of days, he'll be in line to head into the weekend without an injury designation.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Logs full practice

Chubb (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday.

Chubb remains on the PUP list, but he's been practicing since Week 5 and is expected to make his season debut this Sunday against the Bengals, per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com. Wednesday marked his first full practice since he suffered a major left knee injury Sept. 18, 2023 that required two separate surgeries. Assuming he continues to practice Thursday and Friday without restriction, Chubb should be activated from the PUP list no later than Saturday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski declined to say whether Chubb will be on a "pitch count" if he is indeed activated this week, according to Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram.

  • Najee Harris RB | LAC

Steelers' Najee Harris: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Harris didn't practice Wednesday due to a rib injury, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, Harris usually rests Wednesday, but the running back's absence was attributed to an injury this time around. Thursday's practice will thus provide added context with regard to Harris' status for Sunday's game against the Jets. Meanwhile, fellow running back Jaylen Warren is not listed on the Steelers' Week 7 injury report.

  • Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Limited practice participant

Etienne (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

After head coach Doug Pederson deemed Etienne week-to-week following his early removal from Sunday's 35-16 loss to the Bears, the running back's ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday comes as a surprise. D'Ernest Johnson took 77 percent of snaps after halftime with the Jaguars trailing by multiple scores, but Tank Bigsby likely would take over as the lead runner if Etienne were to miss Sunday's game against New England.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Limited in return to practice

Robinson (knee) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

Robinson took part in his first on-field work since a Week 5 win against the Browns, as he didn't practice last Wednesday through Friday before being ruled out for this past Sunday's game at Baltimore. A knee injury has been bothering him since Week 5 prep, and the two sessions that remain this week likely will be the determining factors into whether he has a chance to return to action Sunday against the Panthers. Austin Ekeler produced 68 yards from scrimmage on 13 touches while starting in place of Robinson in Week 6.

  • Jordan Mason RB | MIN

49ers' Jordan Mason: Will be limited Wednesday

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Mason (shoulder) will be a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Mason attempted to play through a left shoulder injury last Thursday at Seattle, but he departed after his lone carry of the second half and didn't return. Afterward, Shanahan confirmed that Mason had an AC joint sprain and deemed the running back day-to-day. At Monday's unofficial session, Mason was sporting a non-contact jersey, and his capped practice Wednesday likely indicates that he still hasn't been cleared for contact. Isaac Guerendo will be the biggest beneficiary Sunday against the Chiefs if Mason is unable to play.
