Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Sitting out another practice
Irving (toe) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Irving has opened Week 8 prep with two straight absences from practices, potentially putting his availability for Sunday's game against the Falcons in peril. The Buccaneers went with a three-man committee at running back in the team's Week 7 loss to the Ravens, but if Irving ends up sitting out against Atlanta, more snaps and touches would be available for both Rachaad White and Sean Tucker.

Keaton Mitchell RB | LAC
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Practice window opened Wednesday
The Ravens designated Mitchell (knee) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.
Mitchell -- who has been recovering from an ACL tear suffered last December -- took part in his practice of the 2024 season Wednesday, participating in a limited fashion. Head coach John Harbaugh has already ruled out Mitchell for Sunday's game against the Browns, but Wednesday's transaction officially opens the running back's 21-day evaluation window. Assuming Mitchell is eventually added back to the 53-man roster before the 21-day window closes, it's unclear what his role will be with Derrick Henry and Justice Hill both performing exceptionally as the one-two punch out of Baltimore's backfield. Unless Henry and/or Hill succumb to an injury, Mitchell could struggle to find enough snaps to deliver fantasy utility.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Still dealing with illness
Walker didn't take part in Wednesday's practice due to an illness, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Walker came down with an illness this past weekend that left him questionable for the Week 7 game. He ended up suiting up Sunday in Atlanta, and while his snap share of 47 percent was below his norm (between 60 and 70 percent) on the season, he still had 14 carries for 69 yards and one touchdown and gathered in both targets for 24 yards and another score. Meanwhile No. 2 back Zach Charbonnet earned a 55 percent snap share and tallied eight touches for just nine total yards. Because Walker remains under the weather at the beginning of Week 8 prep, he has plenty of time to put the ailment behind him ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Browns' Nyheim Hines: Won't play in 2024
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Hines (knee) won't be activated from the reserve/non-football injury list and will remain sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Hines resumed practicing Oct 2, but with his 21-day evaluation window officially coming to an end Wednesday, the Browns didn't have a spot available for him on the 53-man roster. The running back had been working his way back from a torn ACL suffered in July 2023, and though Hines experienced no reported setbacks since he resumed practicing, the Browns already had four other backs on the roster and weren't willing to clear room for him. Though Hines will remain on the NFI list for now, he would be able to play for another team this season if he and the Browns are able to reach an injury settlement.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited Wednesday
Kamara was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to hand and rib injuries, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Earlier Wednesday, Kamara told Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune that he's been playing through a broken hand the last two games, and he's still dealing with the broken ribs that he suffered Week 3 against the Eagles. In four outings since then, he's racked up 74 touches for 273 yards from scrimmage and two rushing scores, showing that he's capable of producing even at less than 100 percent health. Kamara will have two more chances to get back to full participation this week or else possibly risk heading into Sunday's contest at the Chargers with a designation.

Keaton Mitchell RB | LAC
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Won't play Week 8
Head coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Mitchell (knee) won't play Sunday against the Browns, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Banner reports.
Harbaugh added that Mitchell is set to go full speed in practice Thursday, after which point the team will have a better indication of a potential timetable for the second-year running back's return from a torn ACL suffered last December. The Ravens are hoping Mitchell will come back prior to the expiration of his 21-day window to return from the PUP list, which will open when he officially starts practicing.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Playing through broken hand
Kamara said Wednesday that he played the past two games with a broken hand, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Kamara still played three-fourths or more of the offensive snaps in non-blowout situations the past few weeks, with the only indication of a problem being his limited participation in practices. He signed a two-year extension with the Saints on Tuesday and thus seems unlikely to be traded, even though he's a 29-year-old running back on a team that has lost five straight games.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Bears' Travis Homer: Logs limited practice in return
Homer (finger) was listed as a limited practice participant on the Bears' injury report Wednesday.
Homer underwent surgery on his finger in September, which required a stint on injured reserve. His 21-day practice window opened Wednesday, and while he was able to return to practice in a limited capacity, it doesn't guarantee that he'll be able to suit up against the Commanders on Sunday. Homer's practice participation over the next two days should paint a better picture on his availability for Sunday's contest.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Misses Wednesday's practice
Stevenson (foot/personal) didn't practice Wednesday.
The foot injury has been a lingering concern for Stevenson, but it's unclear whether the health concern or his tending to a personal matter that had a greater hand in keeping him off the practice field. Regardless, a clearer idea on Stevenson's status for Sunday's game against the Jets should arrive Thursday, when New England holds its second practice of the week.

Kareem Hunt RB | KC
Chiefs' Kareem Hunt: Logs limited practice
Hunt was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with a hip injury.
In Sunday's 28-18 win over the 49ers, Hunt carried 22 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns while catching both of his targets for five yards. Hunt wasn't reported to have suffered an injury at any point during the contest, so his listed limitations Wednesday could have been maintenance-related more so than due to concern about the health of his hip. In any event, the running back will probably need to practice fully by Friday in order to approach this weekend's game against the Raiders without an injury designation.
