  • Cardinals' Kerwynn Williams: Thrives in supporting role versus Rams

Williams carried six times for 59 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Rams.

The third-year back performed well after being re-promoted from the Cardinals' practice squad, responding with season-highs in touches and yardage while scoring for the first time this season. It is unclear whether the team will keep Williams active once Andre Ellington is healthy enough to return from an injury, but Sunday's performance certainly didn't hurt his case. If Ellington is unable to return next week against the Vikings, expect Williams to split the backup duties with Stepfan Taylor once again, behind David Johnson.

  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

Broncos' C.J. Anderson: Exits Sunday's game with ankle injury

Anderson was forced out of Sunday's game against the Chargers with an ankle injury.

Anderson carried seven times for 42 yards prior to his exit from the contest, with Ronnie Hillman in line to see added backfield touches the rest of the way Sunday.

  • Terrance West RB | BAL

Ravens' Terrance West: Rushes for 31 yards

West rushed for 31 yards on eight carries, and caught his lone target for five more Sunday in Miami.

West once again served as Baltimore's No. 2 running back, as he was comfortably out-touched 29-9 by the highly effective Javorius Allen. It's going to be difficult for West to provide much value with his limited number of touches against a talented Seahawks defense next week.

  • Shane Vereen RB | NO

Giants' Shane Vereen: 20 yards in loss to Jets

Vereen rushed four times for 13 yards and caught two of three targets for seven receiving yards Sunday against the Jets.

Vereen was never expected to make a big impact rushing the ball, but he hasn't done much as a receiver over the last four weeks either, failing to reach even 30 receiving yards. With the Giants splitting the backfield touches between Vereen, Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams and Orleans Darkwa, there's little upside to be seen.

  • Ka'Deem Carey RB | CHI

Bears' Ka'Deem Carey: Active for Sunday's game

Carey (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Meanwhile, fellow backup running back Antone Smith is inactive, meaning Carey will be third string behind Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford for Sunday's game. Carey, who missed last Thursday's matchup with the Packers due to the concussion, is set to notice a decline in touches with Forte now back to full health. While working in a complementary role behind Langford in his last three games, Carey had amassed 116 yards on 30 carries.

  • Cardinals' Andre Ellington: Could miss Week 14

Ellington (toe), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, could also miss next Thursday's game against the Vikings, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Ellington is reportedly set to meet with a specialist to examine his turf toe, and with the quick turnaround to the Thursday night game, it won't be nearly enough time to get him healthy enough to play. With Chris Johnson (knee) also out, David Johnson is expected to start in their place, with Stepfan Taylor and Kerwynn Williams getting the backup touches.

  • DuJuan Harris RB | JAC

Seahawks' DuJuan Harris: Promoted from practice squad

Harris was promoted from the Seahawks' practice squad Saturday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

Harris is expected to provide some depth at the running back position with Marshawn Lynch (hernia surgery) sidelined, but he's unlikely to become a fantasy contributor unless Thomas Rawls and Fred Jackson sustain injuries.

  • Shaun Draughn RB | NYG

49ers' Shaun Draughn: Set to start again

Draughn's teammate Carlos Hyde (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Chicago.

Draughn thus figures to handle another heavy workload, after playing every single offensive snap in a Week 12 loss to the Cardinals. He had exactly 20 touches in each of the last three games, as the 49ers don't seem to have much faith in their other backup running backs. The Chicago defense is allowing 4.8 yards per carry and 128.5 rushing yards per game this season.

  • Ka'Deem Carey RB | CHI

Bears' Ka'Deem Carey: Probable to face Niners

Carey (concussion) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, CSN Chicago's Chris Boden reports.

Carey made it through the concussion protocol and logged full practices throughout the week, but with Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford both healthy, Carey will merely serve as the No. 3 running back. There's a good chance he won't play any offensive snaps in Sunday's game.

  • Cardinals' Andre Ellington: Visiting with specialist

Ellington (toe), who has been ruled out for Week 13, will see a specialist to evaluate his turf toe, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.

Recovery from turf toe is unpredictable and Ellington's injury track record is far from encouraging. While that doesn't mean a multi-week absence should be assumed, it is clear that Ellington's no lock to be ready for Week 14, in addition to be already being ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams. David Johnson is set to lead the Arizona backfield Sunday afternoon, with Stepfan Taylor and Kerwynn Williams working in relief.
