  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Contributes 18 yards, TD in Week 2 loss

Drake totaled 12 yards and a touchdown on two carries and hauled in both of his targets for six yards in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Patriots.

The third-round rookie from Alabama received some extra run after Arian Foster exited the game for good in the second quarter and acquitted himself reasonably well in his limited opportunities. Drake also notably received a key red-zone opportunity midway through the fourth quarter and parlayed it into a nifty seven-yard touchdown run, bringing the Dolphins to within 31-24 with 6:06 remaining. The 22-year-old flashed some play-making ability on the ground in college, averaging 6.4 yards per tote and totaling 1495 yards on 233 carries through 41 games for the Crimson Tide, while adding another 570 yards on 46 receptions. With the very real possibility that Foster's hamstring injury could linger into Week 3, Drake stands to potentially see an expanded role in coming weeks.

  • Doug Martin RB | LV

Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Ruled out Sunday

Martin (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday's contest at Arizona, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

Martin was "dragging his leg a little" as he left the field early in the second quarter, according to Kevin O'Donnell of FOX 13 Tampa Bay. The severity of the concern has been substantiated with first doubtful and then no potential to return, but the 24-point halftime deficit could have swayed the Buccaneers' decision-making process. Any absence logged by Martin will have a subsequent trickle-down effect for his primary backup Charles Sims.

  • Thomas Rawls RB | JAC

Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Sustains leg injury Sunday

Rawls is questionable to return to Sunday's contest at Los Angeles due to a leg issue.

Rawls' final touch occurred on a two-yard reception with 5:09 remaining in the second quarter. If he's unable to make another appearance Sunday, he'll conclude his day with seven carries for minus-seven yards and three receptions (on three targets) for 15 yards. Any absence would place Christine Michael into a prime position out of the Seahawks' backfield.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Turns 10 Week 2 touches into 49 yards

Henry rushed nine times for 40 yards, and hauled in his lone target for nine more in Sunday's 16-15 win over the Lions,

Henry got 10 touches to DeMarco Murray's 19, once again playing an expanded complementary role in the backfield. Neither Titans running back has found the end zone on the ground yet this season, though Murray has proven himself to be the more dangerous option in the passing game. The rookie out of Alabama will continue to be involved, but his value is capped as long as he's playing second fiddle.

  • Matt Jones RB | WAS

Redskins' Matt Jones: Finds end zone Sunday versus Dallas

Jones carried 13 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to Dallas. He also added four yards as he caught his only target.

Jones averaged a healthy 4.7 yards per carry and gashed the Cowboys on a couple of occasions, including an impressive 14-yard touchdown scamper in the second quarter. Unfortunately, the Redskins were unable to commit to the run for the second week running, limiting him to just a handful of touches in the second half. Jones' individual performance was encouraging, but his track record of inefficiency indicates that he will need to garner more touches on a weekly basis in order to be able to truly make an impact for fantasy owners. Week 3 will bring with it a road matchup versus the Giants.

  • Lions' Dwayne Washington: Receives four carries in loss

Washington logged four carries for 31 yards in the Lions' Week 2 loss to the Titans.

His production almost exclusively came on an impressive 28-yard scamper. However, starting RB Ameer Abdullah exited the game and did not return after suffering a foot injury. If Abdullah misses any time, Washington will be in line to receive addition carries while presumably operating in a timeshare with fellow RB Theo Riddick.

  • Doug Martin RB | LV

Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Doubtful to return Sunday

Martin is doubtful to return to Sunday's game at Arizona as a result of a hamstring injury.

When Martin left the field early in the second quarter, he was "dragging his leg a little," according to Kevin O'Donnell of FOX 13 Tampa Bay. Although the Buccaneers have yet to pin down a diagnosis, Martin is an unlikely candidate to make another appearance in Week 2. Dominating the carries with seven for 23 yards prior to his departure, he'll thus hand off primary RB duties to Charles Sims.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Benched Sunday after fumbling issues

Elliott ran 21 times for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Redskins. He also caught both of his targets for an additional four yards and lost a fumble.

Elliott appeared to be picking up steam in the second half, ripping off a 21-yard run at one point, but he lost a crucial fumble in his own end that led to Redskins points. He was benched in favor of Alfred Morris after putting another ball on the ground, despite the fact that the Cowboys recovered it. Morris went on to help salt the game away with a late touchdown, and although Elliott should once again be the featured back in Week 3 against the Bears, the former could be in line for a larger share of the backfield touches after Sunday's developments.

  • Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC

Lions' Ameer Abdullah: Will not return after suffering foot injury

Abdullah (foot) will not return to the Lions' Week 2 game versus the Titans, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.

Abdullah came up limping after an impressive tackle-breaking run, but there are no further details about the injury at this point in time. Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington will likely handle the near-entirety of work out of the backfield for the rest of the game.

  • Dolphins' Damien Williams: Inactive Sunday

Williams is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

With both Williams and Isaiah Pead inactive Sunday, the Dolphins will go with a Week 2 backfield comprised of Arian Foster, Jay Ajayi and Kenyan Drake.
