Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Fumbles won't impact usage
Gordon's usage won't be impacted by his back-to-back games with a lost fumble, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Gordon currently leads the NFL with seven touchdowns this season but has contributed toward the Chargers' last two second-half collapses by committing a turnover in both contests. This comes after Gordon lost four fumbles as a rookie, but coach Mike McCoy maintains the former first-rounder's involvement won't be impacted by his recent ball security issues. While that comes as good news to fantasy owners who've enjoyed Gordon's scoring exploits this season, Thursday's matchup against the Broncos defense doesn't appear very favorable, and Gordon fumbled twice (losing one) in his last game versus Denver.

Brandon Bolden RB | LV
Patriots' Brandon Bolden: Dealing with knee issue
Bolden (knee) was spotted walking through the Patriots' locker room Monday without the assistance of crutches, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
While the reserve running back/special-teamer's status for this coming Sunday's game against the Bengals is unclear, this nugget would seem to hint that Bolden's knee issue is not a major one. As long as he is sidelined, though, rookie D.J. Foster is a candidate to suit up and provide the Patriots with backfield depth behind LeGarrette Blount and James White.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Vikings' Cordarrelle Patterson: Catches four passes in easy win
Patterson caught four passes for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over Houston, adding seven yards on his lone carry.
Patterson briefly left with a hip injury, but his quick return to the contest suggests it may have just been a bruise. With Stefon Diggs (groin) sidelined, Patterson logged 45 of the 74 offensive snaps, trailing Adam Thielen (68) while edging out Jarius Wright (44). Charles Johnson (12 snaps) and Laquon Treadwell (eight) were essentially non-factors, suggesting Patterson will likely be the No. 2/3 receiver if Diggs misses any more time. Patterson could be the No. 3 even after Diggs returns, though such a role probably wouldn't hold much appeal in a balanced Minnesota offense that's also sending a lot of targets in the direction of TE Kyle Rudolph.

Charles Sims RB | TB
Buccaneers' Charles Sims: Heading to injured reserve
Sims (knee) will be placed on injured reserve, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Sims was the Buccaneers' fill-in starter in the wake of teammate Doug Martin's (hamstring) injury the past two weeks but will now face his own extended sideline stint after hurting his knee last Sunday. Although Tampa Bay's Week 6 bye could allow Martin to return for their next game, the upcoming absences of both leave Jacquizz Rodgers as the team's top tailback for Monday's divisional contest in Carolina. Behind Rodgers, the Bucs sport a pair of undrafted rookies, Peyton Barber and Russell Hansbrough, which could result in added reliance on the passing game on Monday night.

Charles Sims RB | TB
Buccaneers' Charles Sims: Won't play Monday night
Sims (knee) has been ruled out of Monday night's game against the Panthers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Sims' knee injury suffered last Sunday prevented him from practicing throughout the past week, thus making his expected absence Monday rather unsurprising. Nonetheless, with teammate Doug Martin (hamstring) still sidelined, Sims will be missing out on a chance to start at running back for another week. With Sims out, Jacquizz Rodgers figures to get that opportunity, with Peyton Barber serving as his backup versus a Panthers defense that has been far better against the run than the pass this season.
-
Doug Martin RB | LV
Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Not expected to play Monday night
Martin (hamstring) will not play Monday night against the Panthers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Martin has not practiced since injuring his hamstring in Week 2, so it's no surprise that he won't be involved Monday. With the Buccaneers sporting a Week 6 bye, however, Monday's absence could be Martin's last because of his current ailment. Considering fellow running back Charles Sims (knee) is also expected to be sidelined against the Panthers, Jacquizz Rodgers figures to garner the start, with Peyton Barber serving as his backup.

Damien Williams RB | ARI
Dolphins' Damien Williams: Returned to Sunday's loss
Williams (illness) was able to return to Sunday's game against the Titans, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. He finished with one rush for three yards and two receptions for 67 yards.
Williams was forced to the Dolphins' locker room to deal with an illness but later resurfaced in Sunday's game, when his 58-yard reception during the second quarter marked the longest catch of his career. However, despite that contribution, which set up a Jay Ajayi touchdown, Williams played only eight snaps, per the Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad. With Ajayi, Kenyan Drake and, when healthy, Arian Foster (hamstring) around, Williams faces a crowded path to snaps but at least made the most of his limited, illness-included involvement Sunday.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Gains 54 yards on seven carries
Henry gained 54 yards on seven carries Sunday in Miami but went without a target in the passing game.
Henry spelled DeMarco Murray on occasion, but was out-touched 32 to seven. As long as Murray stays healthy, the rookie out of Alabama will be nothing more than a change-of-pace option in the Titans' backfield.
-
Bobby Rainey RB | BAL
Giants' Bobby Rainey: Lone bright spot
Rainey had five carries for 22 yards and six catches for 52 more in Sunday night's loss to the Packers.
It was an ugly day for the offense as a whole, but Rainey was effective as a runner and a receiver. He'll maintain his third-down role for the foreseeable future with Shane Vereen (triceps) out.

Jacquizz Rodgers RB | NO
Buccaneers' Jacquizz Rodgers: Has faith of head coach to handle full workload
Rodgers has the full confidence of head coach Dirk Koetter with respect to being able to handle "a significant number of snaps" in Week 5 against the Panthers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports. "Extremely. I've seen him do it. Jacquizz will have no problems. He'll do fine."
The 26-year-old tailback appears to be queued up for a starter's workload against the Panthers on Monday night, given Charles Sims' doubtful designation due to a knee injury and the fact that his only backup at present is undrafted rookie Peyton Barber. Rodgers has totaled 69 yards on 13 carries and two receptions for 12 yards to date this season in limited duty. As a primary back for the Falcons over a five-game stint back in 2013, he rushed for 194 yards on an average of 3.3 yards per carry, while also adding 152 yards on 24 receptions and scoring four total touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Panthers don't exactly offer a very promising path to success, as they've limited opposing ground attacks to a fifth-best 3.5 yards per carry and 361 total yards over the first four games.
