Thomas Rawls RB | JAC
Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Week 1 status TBD
Head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Rawls' (ankle) status is undetermined for Sunday's regular-season opener at Green Bay, Aron Yohannes of the Seahawks' official site reports.
In reference to injuries within his backfield, Carroll called C.J. Prosise ready to roll for Week 1, but the team will figure out Rawls' availability as the clock ticks closer to kickoff. "C.J. is a little ahead of him in that regard," Carroll said. Rawls' practice participation will ultimately shed light on his potential to play. If he's at less than full capacity, Eddie Lacy and Prosise will handle the snaps afforded running backs Sunday.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Arbitrator decision set to come Tuesday
Harold Henderson, the arbitrator in Elliott's hearing for his appeal of a six-game suspension, has informed the NFL and NFLPA that he plans to reach a decision later Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
It's expected that Henderson's ruling on Elliott's suspension will arrive before the close of business Tuesday, the deadline for which Elliott's salary status for Week 1 would need be determined. More importantly, the appeals officer's decision could provide a long-awaited resolution as to whether Elliott's suspension will be reduced, vacated entirely or left unchanged. Elliott, who was officially suspended Aug. 11 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, has continued to practice with the team in the event he does in fact receive clearance to play Week 1.

Akeem Hunt RB | KC
Akeem Hunt: Joins Kansas City practice squad
The Chiefs signed Hunt to their practice squad Tuesday, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
The similarly named Kareem Hunt is slated to the head the Chiefs' backfield this season, but Akeem won't receive any opportunities with Kansas City unless further injuries thin the team's depth at running back. Hunt parlayed a practice squad spot with Houston last season into appearances in eight games with the Texans, during which he compiled 109 yards on 20 carries (5.4 per-carry average). A strained hamstring in training camp ended his bid for a roster spot with the Texans this summer, but he's reportedly healthy now and could make for an interesting developmental prospect for the Chiefs.

Joe Bacci RB | TEN
Titans' Joe Bacci: Reverts to injured reserve
Bacci (undisclosed) cleared waivers and landed on the Titans' injured reserve Sunday, Jimmy Morris of MusicCityMiracles.com reports.
Bacci, an undrafted free agent, signed with the team in May. He was never considered a serious candidate to land on the final roster. He'll spend the entire 2017 season on IR unless he and the Titans can reach an injury settlement.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Will practice Tuesday
Head coach Jason Garrett said Monday that Elliott (suspension) will practice Tuesday rather than be in attendance at the U.S. District Court in Sherman, Texas, where his request for a temporary retraining order will be heard, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. "We're just going to prepare for the Giants, and Zeke will practice until someone tells him not to," Garrett said.
Elliott is using every tool at his disposal to delay the six-game suspension handed down by the NFL for violations of its personal conduct policy. Currently, his petition to vacate last week's still-to-be-determined arbitration ruling is pending, and Thursday included word of the temporary restraining order, which is calling upon Texas courts to block any ban upheld by arbitrator Harold Henderson. While the legal process plays itself out, Elliott will get ready for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Giants as he normally would. If an absence comes to pass, though, Darren McFadden, Alfred Morris and Rod Smith are waiting in the wings to earn touches behind the Cowboys' bulldozing offensive line.

D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE
Texans' D'Onta Foreman: Misses practice Monday
Foreman (leg) was not present for practice Monday, CBS Houston reports.
Nor was fellow running back Alfred Blue (ankle), with the Week 1 status of the duo up in the air as Sunday's game against the Jaguars approaches. At 6-foot-1, 233 pounds, and with good speed for his size, Foreman boasts some long-term upside, but initially his fantasy value is capped, given that incumbent veteran starter Lamar Miller is healthy heading into the regular season.

Matt Dayes RB | NO
Browns' Matt Dayes: Still on roster
Dayes (neck) remains on the Browns' roster heading into Week 1 against Pittsburgh.
As expected, the 2017 seventh-round pick secured a job as the No. 3 running back behind Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson. Dayes could start the season as a gameday inactive even if his neck injury from the preseason is completely healed. He caught 98 passes in college at NC State and could have a significant role if Duke Johnson misses time with an injury.

Cameron Artis-Payne RB | CAR
Panthers' Cameron Artis-Payne: Buried on depth chart
Artis-Payne is listed as the fourth-string running back on Carolina's initial depth chart of the regular season.
The Panthers decided to keep four running backs after watching the 2015 fifth-round pick rumble for 180 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries this preseason. The impressive exhibition performance may have been enough to keep his spot on the team, but Artis-Payne is unlikely to have a significant role on offense unless fellow power back Jonathan Stewart suffers an injury. The more versatile Fozzy Whittaker is listed as the No. 3 back behind Stewart and Christian McCaffrey.

Jeremy McNichols RB | WAS
Jeremy McNichols: Signed to 49ers' practice squad
The 49ers have signed McNichols to their practice squad, Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle reports.
This is a favorable landing spot for the fifth-round rookie after he was waived by the Buccaneers on Saturday. The 49ers only have three tailbacks on their roster, including undrafted rookie Matt Breida and special teams ace Raheem Mostert. It isn't hard to imagine a scenario in which Carlos Hyde suffers an injury and McNichols joins the 53-man roster as an immediate contributor.

Brandon Wilds RB | JAC
Browns' Brandon Wilds: Placed on IR
Wilds (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Sunday.
The expected became a reality Sunday once Wilds cleared waivers. The South Carolina product will likely sit out the 2017 season with an opportunity to showcase his skills next year.
