Emari Demercado RB | KC
Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Opportunity knocks
Demercado is slated for expanded backfield opportunities, beginning Sunday versus the Titans, with Trey Benson (knee) in line to be placed on IR, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Demercado looked solid in a change-of-pace role behind Benson during last Thursday's 23-20 loss to Seattle, in which he rushed twice for eight yards and secured both of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown. With Benson now out at 4-to-6 weeks, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, and James Conner (foot) already lost for the season, Demercado and Michael Carter now become positioned to lead Arizona's backfield, while Bam Knight steps into the No. 3 role. It's possible that Demercado still primarily operates as a pass-catching specialist, but at 215 pounds he's more suitable than the 201-pound Carter for between-the-tackles work. Especially in PPR formats, this development places Demercado firmly on the fantasy radar, though the Cardinals now become strong candidates to pursue further backfield additions.

Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Myles Gaskin: Headed to Seattle
Gaskin signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Gaskin was cut by the Ravens in late August after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster, but he's since found a new home in Seattle. The Washington product last played for the Vikings in 2024, logging 31 total snaps (six offensive, 25 on special teams) while touching the ball four times for 10 yards.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. RB | NYG
Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Absent from practice Wednesday
Tracy (shoulder) is not practicing Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Tracy's shoulder injury forced him to sit out Week 4, and reports suggest that he'll be sidelined multiple games. With all expectations being that Tracy again sits out Week 5, Devin Singletary will get another opportunity to contribute as the No. 2 running back behind rookie Cam Skattebo. After that, Tracy will face a short turnaround to attempt to take the field on Thursday Night Football against the Eagles in Week 6.

Trey Benson RB | ARI
Cardinals' Trey Benson: Set to land on IR
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Benson (knee) will be placed on IR, Dani Sureck of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Gannon said Benson is expected to return this season, but the second-year pro will now be forced to sit out at least four games while recovering from the knee injury he sustained Week 4 versus Seattle. Benson's loss is a tremendous blow for Arizona's offense, one magnified by already having lost James Conner (foot) for the year. Beginning Sunday versus the Titans, and through at least Sunday, Nov. 9 against the Cowboys, Emari Demercado and Michael Carter will be positioned to lead the Cardinals' backfield, with Bam Knight mixing in as the No. 3 option.

Anthony Tyus III RB | CAR
Anthony Tyus: Coming to Carolina
Tyus signed with the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The Ohio product was dropped from Seattle's practice squad in late August but has now found a new home in Carolina. Tyus has yet to appear in an NFL game after rushing 237 times for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2024.

DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC
Panthers' DeeJay Dallas: Signs with active roster
The Panthers signed Dallas off their practice squad Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The 27-year-old running back signed with Carolina's practice squad after failing to make the Cardinals' initial 53-man roster in late August. However, Dallas has now been promoted to the active roster and will likely operate in a depth role in the Panthers' backfield, playing behind Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle and Trevor Etienne.

Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Day-to-day, chance to play Week 5
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Irving (foot) is day-to-day and could have a chance to suit up Sunday versus Seattle if he's able to shed his walking boot by Friday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Irving suffered a sprained foot during Tampa Bay's 31-25 loss to the Eagles in Week 4, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, and he was spotted on crutches and in a walking boot at Wednesday's walk-through practice. It's a relief that the second-year pro has avoided a long-term injury, but it appears his status for Week 5 may come down to the wire. If Irving ends up missing any time, Rachaad White and Sean Tucker will be slated to lead the Buccaneers' backfield.

Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Dealing with sprained foot
Irving is dealing with a foot sprain that is not considered a long-term injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
That said, Schefter notes that Irving -- who was spotted at Wednesday's walk-through on crutches and in a walking boot -- is viewed as week-to-week ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks. If he's unable to play this weekend, Rachaad White and Sean Tucker would be in line to see expanded opportunities in the Buccaneers' Week 5 backfield.

Trey Benson RB | ARI
Cardinals' Trey Benson: Dealing with knee injury
Benson is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Titans due to a knee injury sustained during last Thursday's loss to Seattle, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Benson's knee injury isn't considered serious, per Schefter, but it could impact his availability for Week 5. The second-year pro reportedly sustained the issue toward the end of Arizona's loss to the Seahawks last Thursday, in which he rushed eight times for 35 yards and secured all five of his targets for 19 yards. With James Conner (foot) out for the season Benson is positioned as the Cardinals' clear lead back, meaning of he were to miss any time change-of-pace man Emari Demercado and No. 3 option Michael Carter would step into significant workloads. Wednesday's official practice report will reveal how much, if any, on-field work Benson's injury currently allows him to handle.

Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Wearing boot at walkthrough
Irving (ankle) was spotted wearing a boot on his left foot and using crutches at Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Irving appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Week 5 due to a left lower-leg injury, for which he underwent an MRI on Monday. The Buccaneers haven't yet disclosed official information about the severity of Irving's injury, but given his status at Wednesday's practice, it looks like the team could be slated to lean on Rachaad White and Sean Tucker for at least Sunday's road matchup against the Seahawks.
