Marx signed with the Seahawks on Sunday, Curtis Crabtree of Seattle's 950 AM KJR reports.

Marx joins a Seattle roster where Tre Madden is the only fullback. The rookie was a key cog in Stanford's run game in 2017 and may have a chance of unseating Madden if he is able to impress quickly. Tanner McEvoy was waived as a consequential move to Marx's signing.

Elliott is not slated to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Cardinals, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The same goes for QB Dak Prescott, with the duo's next game action now not in line to arrive until Week 1 in Carolina. Elliott is primed for a massive workload, but injury woes along the Dallas offensive line could be problematic for his efficiency against a tough Panthers defense. The Cowboys at least seem optimistic about having LT Tyron Smith (hamstring), RG Zack Martin (knee) and RT La'el Collins (calf) ready for the start of the season, though the same can't be said of C Travis Frederick (illness).

Perine (ankle) was spotted at practice Sunday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

In the wake of Derrius Guice's ACL tear, Washington is still sorting out its running back options. Perine's return to the field helps keep him in the equation on that front, along with fellow returnees Rob Kelley and Chris Thompson. Meanwhile, recent addition Adrian Peterson made a strong case for a key role out of the gate with an 11-carry, 56-yard effort in Friday's preseason loss to the Broncos.

Clement (lower body) returned to practice Sunday, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.

Meanwhile, Jay Ajayi (lower body) was held out of practice once again. It remains to be seen if he's in any danger of missing Week 1, but if he's out -- or limited at all out of the gate -- Clement would be in line for added opportunities.

Redding signed with the Buccaneers on Sunday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Redding spent last season on the Chiefs' practice squad. He's being brought in for the final exhibition game against the Jaguars while the starters rest. The 22-year-old would need to be brilliant in order to secure a roster spot.

Pumphrey (hamstring) will practice in a limited fashion Sunday, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

Earlier in the week Pumphrey said he was "100 percent," but the doctors are still exercising caution. The 2017 fourth-round pick has yet to play in a preseason game, and even if he plays Thursday against the Jets, it won't be against the starters. Pumphrey's odds are slim to beat out Wendell Smallwood for the No. 4 RB position.

With Julian Edelman set to serve a four-game suspension to start the season and the Patriots having released Jordan Matthews, Malcolm Mitchell and Kenny Britt, Patterson has a chance to be a factor in the Patriots' passing game early on, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Patterson has been in the team's kick return plans all along, and attrition within the ranks of the Patriots' receiving corps has paved the way for the 2013 first-rounder to contribute as a pass catcher. With Edelman out, Chris Hogan is the only New England wideout with a clear role for the first four games. Added opportunities are thus present for likely No. 2 option Phillip Dorsett as well as Patterson. While Patterson may not see consistent volume out of the gate, the 6-foot-2, 228-pounder has the size, athleticism and run-after-catch ability to become a playmaker for QB Tom Brady. As a result, he has some sleeper potential and should be kept on the radar as a potential September pickup.

Drake rushed four times for 32 yards and brought in one of two targets for 36 yards in the Dolphins' 27-10 preseason loss to the Ravens on Saturday.

Although there's been rumblings of Frank Gore and Drake sharing near equal billing in the backfield this coming season, Drake saw five touches to Gore's one Saturday. The 24-year-old was highly efficient with his opportunities, and given his camp and preseason performances, his overall outlook heading into the regular season is bright. It's likely that Drake doesn't see action again until Week 1 versus the Titans, when he's likely to share carries with Gore fairly evenly if current talk is to be believed.

Edwards rushed 16 times for 38 yards and secured one of two targets for seven yards in the Ravens' 27-10 preseason win over the Dolphins on Saturday.

The undrafted rookie from Rutgers couldn't find much running room while seeing extended action for the fourth straight exhibition. Coach John Harbaugh has given Edwards every chance to showcase his skills, but the 23-year-old hasn't been very efficient on a per-carry basis. The practice squad may be his likely destination after final cuts, but he could see significant volume again in next Thursday's preseason finale versus the Redskins.

Ekeler rushed six times for 50 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's preseason game against the Saints. He also secured all three of his targets for 13 yards.

Ekeler shined in place of Melvin Gordon, who missed Saturday's exhibition in order to tend to a personal matter. While Ekeler -- who averaged 5.5 yards on 47 carries in 2017 -- was his usual efficient self in the featured role, he still seems cemented behind Gordon on the depth chart in advance of Week 1, rendering him nothing more than a handcuff with upside if Gordon is forced to miss any time. In the Chargers' previous two preseason games, Gordon commanded 25 of 29 first-team snaps, including four-of-five snaps on third down.
