Williams has earned a spot on the Chiefs' 53-man roster, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.

Williams has made it over the likes of Charcandrick West and Kerwynn Williams to serve as the third option out of the backfield behind Kareem Hunt and Spencer Ware and as a special teams contributor. He hasn't been particularly effective as a runner when called upon, but he did average a career-best 3.9 yards per carry on 46 totes with the Dolphins last season.

Williams spent his collegiate seasons working behind Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice, so he never really got an opportunity to showcase his talent. That changed this preseason and he impressed the brass enough to stick around over Kerwynn Williams and Charcandrick West. He'll remain a depth option at running back in 2018.

Ford, who was waived by the Bills in Saturday's cuts, was signed to Buffalo's practice squad Sunday, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.

The Bills already have four running backs and a fullback on the active roster, so Ford has a long way to go before achieving relevance, but at least the team sees him as a worthy project. The Bills also signed tackles Gerhard de Beer and De'Ondre Welsey, wide receiver Cam Phillips, defensive end Mike Love, linebacker Corey Thompson, safety Dean Marlowe and cornerback Levi Wallace to the practice squad.

Gillislee was signed by the Saints on a one-year deal Sunday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Gillislee's visit with the Saints concluded with the signing of a one-year contract for the former Patriot, who had just been released by New England on Saturday. He'll likely be a candidate for touches primarily in short-yardage situations as a complement to starter Alvin Kamara and Boston Scott while Mark Ingram (suspension) misses the first four weeks of the regular season.

Perine has a spot on Washington's initial 53-man roster, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Faced with a decision between Perine or Kapri Bibbs for the final RB spot, Washington chose pure running ability over passing-down skill. Perine may enter Week 1 at the very bottom of the depth chart, potentially stuck behind Adrian Peterson, Chris Thompson (leg) and Rob Kelley. The second-year pro likely would be part of a committee if Peterson were to get benched or injured.

Abdullah has a spot on Detroit's initial 53-man roster, MLive.com's Kyle Meinke reports.

The 2015 second-round pick likely will stay in Detroit for the final year of his rookie contract, though it's still possible he could be waived if the team wants to add help at another position. Abdullah doesn't figure to get many touches in a backfield with LeGarrette Blount, Kerryon Johnson and Theo Riddick soaking up snaps.

McNichols was cut during Saturday's roster trimming, Cam Inman of The Mercury News reports.

McNichols gained some steam when he received first-team reps earlier this preseason, but veteran Alfred Morris' outshined the 22-year-old down the stretch. Jerick McKinnon (knee) has been ruled out for the 2018 season, so McNichols could either be re-signed for depth or added to the 49ers' practice squad if he clears waivers. Matt Breida and Morris appear to be at the top of the adjusted running back depth chart.

Mostert survived Saturday's roster cuts and will serve a special teams role with the 49ers this season.

Mostert was expected to make the cut due to his special teams prowess, but Jerick McKinnon's significant knee injury assured him a roster spot. Matt Breida and Alfred Morris expect to benefit the most from McKinnon's untimely injury, keeping Mostert off the fantasy radar for the time being.

Gillislee is visiting the Saints on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Gilislee lost out to Jeremy Hill in New England but may quickly land on his feet with a New Orleans team that ended cutdown day carrying just two healthy, non-suspended RBs on its 53-man roster. The 27-year-old would provide a power element alongside Alvin Kamara and Boston Scott while Mark Ingram is suspended for the first four weeks of the season.

Michael has made Indianapolis' 53-man roster.

If Marlon Mack remains out with a hamstring injury, Michael could have a sizeable role in Week 1. It's not clear how the carries will be divided among Michael, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins if Mack is out along with Robert Turbin, who is serving a four-game suspension.
