  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Redskins' Samaje Perine: Inactive again Sunday

Perine (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Packers.

With the placement of Rob Kelley (toe) on injured reserve this week, Perine was expected to earn active status for the first time this season Week 3. Instead, the Redskins promoted Kapri Bibbs from the practice squad Saturday and opted to make him the No. 3 running back behind Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson. At this point, Perine appears to be a persona non grata in Washington.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

Vikings' Mike Boone: Set to play Sunday

Boone (groin) is listed as active for Sunday's tilt against the Bills.

Boone was originally questionable with a minor groin injury as a late addition to Friday's injury report, but the undrafted rookie has a relatively clear path to his first NFL touches with starter Dalvin Cook (hamstring) sidelined this week. Boone is slated to work alongside fellow reserve Roc Thomas behind veteran Latavius Murray, who figures to see a bulk of the work out of Minnesota's backfield. If the Vikings live up to the hype as heavy favorites, however, Boone and Thomas could see their roles increase as the game progresses in order to preserve the health of Murray while lending the rookie rushers additional opportunities.

  • Corey Clement RB | ARI

Eagles' Corey Clement: Cleared to play Week 3

Clement (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Though he was added to the injury report with a questionable designation after the quadriceps issue limited him in Friday's practice, Clement was never considered in serious danger of missing the Week 3 contest. Clement's restrictions Friday were mainly for precautionary reasons, so he should be ready to start and handle what projects to be his largest workload to date with Jay Ajayi (back) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) both sitting out. Wendell Smallwood and Josh Adams also linger as backfield options, but Clement is the leading candidate to pace the trio in snaps and touches.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Works on side Friday

Mixon (knee) worked out on a side field at Friday's practice, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

Less than a week removed from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, Mixon followed up a workout in the weight room Wednesday with on-field work, albeit on the side, during Friday's practice. Among his activity, he was seen jogging through ropes with a football in hand, per Hobson. Mixon has a multi-week recovery in front of him, during which Giovani Bernard will serve as the Bengals' lead back. Meanwhile, Mark Walton is on hand to give Bernard the occasional breather.

  • Colts' Nyheim Hines: Could get more touches sans Mack

Hines and Jordan Wilkins are both candidates to handle increased roles while Marlon Mack (foot, hamstring) is out for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, NJ.com's Zack Rosenblatt reports.

Hines dropped off from 12 touches Week 1 when Mack was out of the lineup to five touches Week 2 when his teammate returned. Of course, game script was arguably more relevant than Mack's presence, as the Colts jumped out to a lead last week and only attempted 31 passes (down from 53 in Week 1). Hines handled most of the passing-down work in both contests and likely will do the same Sunday in Philadelphia. Mack's absence still provides a slight boost, but it's more relevant for fellow rookie Jordan Wilkins, who leads the team with 24 carries for 101 yards.

  • Roc Thomas RB | JAC

Vikings' Roc Thomas: May have Week 3 role

Thomas may have a role in Minnesota's offense Sunday against the Bills, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Inactive for the first two games of his career, Thomas figures to make his first NFL appearance now that Dalvin Cook (hamstring) has been ruled out and Mike Boone (groin) is listed as questionable. Boone is ahead of Thomas in the pecking order and seems to be on track to play, but it won't come as any surprise if Thomas also gets a few carries. Murray figures to shoulder most of the workload, at least while the game remains competitive.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Set to face Jaguars in Week 3

Henry (back) does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after practicing fully Friday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Henry is available if you need him this week, but he's averaging just 2.9 yards per carry on 28 rushing attempts through two games, while backfield mate Dion Lewis has logged 30 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown in that span. The current timeshare he's in combined with the rugged matchup Henry faces this weekend make him hit-or-miss fantasy option Week 3. Overall, though, we do expect his efficiency to increase in the coming weeks, and perhaps working out of the wildcat formation occasionally -- as he did five times Week 2, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site -- could lead to some chunk gains for Henry.

  • Colts' Christine Michael: Will play Sunday

Michael (illness) was a full participant in Friday's practice and will play in Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Michael sat out Thursday's practice with an illness, but it appears it was a minor bug. With Marlon Mack (foot/hamstring) ruled out for Sunday's game, Michael will operate as the No. 3 running back.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

Vikings' Mike Boone: Added to injury report

Boone (groin) was a late addition to the Friday injury report, getting a questionable tag for Sunday's game against the Bills, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

With Dalvin Cook (hamstring) already ruled out, the Vikings were counting on Boone to serve as Latavius Murray's top backup. The job will fall to fellow undrafted rookie Roc Thomas if Boone isn't able to play. Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Boone was a full participant at Friday's practice.

  • Brandon Wilds RB | JAC

Jaguars' Brandon Wilds: Avoids injury designation

Wilds (illness) will not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Titans.

Wilds didn't practice early in the week as he dealt with the illness, but he was able to return as a full participant Friday. Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and T.J. Yeldon (ankle) are both listed as questionable, which could have Wilds serving as the No. 3 running back if either is unable to play Sunday.
