  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Colts' Marlon Mack: Questionable for Sunday

Mack (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.

A limited practice participant all week, Mack continues to battle a hamstring injury that has lingered since the Colts' preseason opener on Aug. 9. Coach Frank Reich said Friday that Mack is "making progress" in his recovery, but a pregame workout seemingly will be the tipping point for active or inactive status Sunday. In the event he's unavailable again, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins will split reps out of the backfield.

  • Jonathan Williams: Cut by Saints

Williams was waived by the Saints on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Williams had some hype during the preseason as a potential replacement for Mark Ingram (suspension) throughout September. The Saints ultimately have relied on a heavy dose of Alvin Kamara, with Mike Gillislee getting 14 carries and only three going to Williams. The Saints will use Dwayne Washington as their No. 3 running back for the final game before Ingram returns.

  • Corey Clement RB | ARI

Eagles' Corey Clement: Questionable to face Titans

Clement (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Tennessee, Daniel Gallen of PennLive.com reports.

Clement played through the same injury last week against the Colts, gaining 75 carries on 19 touches while splitting work with Wendell Smallwood. The Eagles now expect Jay Ajayi to play through a small back fracture, likely returning Clement to the No. 2 role if he's ultimately cleared for Week 4. Clement seems likely to play after logging a limited practice Thursday, whereas Darren Sproles (hamstring) has already been ruled out for Sunday.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Officially ruled out

Mixon (knee) is officially out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

As a result, Giovani Bernard will once again lead the Bengals' backfield Week 4, with Mark Walton on hand to serve in a backup capacity. Mixon has noted that his knee is feeling good these days, but it's still too early to know if a return to action Week 5 is in the cards for him.

  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Colts' Marlon Mack: Practicing for third straight day

Mack (hamstring) took part in Friday's practice, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.

Mack was able to get on the practice field for the third straight day Friday, so he will have a chance to return to action after sitting out the Colts' Week 3 loss to the Bengals. The Colts will provide an official update on Mack's availability for Week 4 after Friday's practice concludes.

  • Saints' Dwayne Washington: Joins active roster

Washington was signed to New Orleans' 53-man roster Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Washington joined the Saints' practice squad after being let go by the Lions at roster cutdowns. The 24-year-old had 110 carries for 309 yards (2.8 average) in two seasons with Detroit. Alvin Kamara has been the heavy workhorse with Mark Ingram suspended through Sunday's game against the Giants, and Washington's addition is unlikely to alter that significantly.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Tough sledding in Week 4 loss

Cook (hamstring) rushed 10 times for 20 yards in the Vikings' 38-31 loss to the Rams on Thursday night.

Cook was back in uniform after missing the team's Week 3 loss to the Bills, but as had been the case in the other two games he played this season, he found precious little running room. The 23-year-old has now averaged under 3.0 yards per carry in two of the three contests he's suited up for, although he's partly made up for that lackluster production with nine receptions for 107 yards. He'll look to find some success on the ground against the Eagles in Week 5.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

49ers' Matt Breida: Practices in full Thursday

Breida (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Breida brushed off a hyperextended right knee and logged every practice rep thrown his way Thursday, just four days removed from sustaining the injury. Meanwhile, Alfred Morris, who wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, was limited Thursday with a knee injury of his own. The duo has had an almost even split of touches and offensive snaps this season -- Breida (39 touches and 42.4 percent) and Morris (42 touches and 44.4 percent). As a result, if Morris remains hindered Sunday versus the Chargers, Breida could take on a massive workload.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

    Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Active Thursday

Cook (hamstring) is active for Thursday's game at the Rams.

Cook's availability seemingly was tied to his left hamstring holding up during a pregame warmup. Unlike practice this week, he didn't have a sleeve on that leg, but he'll almost certainly have some type of support on the region for this Week 4 showdown. His workload is the biggest question mark at this point. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Cook will be on a "pitch count," which means some type of split with fellow running back Latavius Murray should ensue.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Slated to play Thursday

Cook (hamstring) is expected to suit up for Thursday's road game against the Rams, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

As Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier Thursday, the Vikings will keep a close eye on Cook during pregame warmups to ensure he can handle the rigors of game action after missing one contest with a hamstring injury. Assuming Cook suits up, he'll be on a "pitch count," per Rapoport, which implies Latavius Murray will remain a useful option in the Vikings offense.
