Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Won't play Week 14
Coach Kyle Shanahan ruled out Breida (ankle) for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
After aggravating his ankle injury, Breida didn't approach his usual snap count Week 13 in Seattle, using those 10 reps to post eight touches for 57 yards from scrimmage. Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Jeff Wilson churned out 134 scrimmage yards on 23 touches while logging 55 (of 76) offensive snaps. The 49ers seem to have come to their senses with Breida, who could be sidelined until he approaches 100 percent. In the short term, though, he'll yield the backfield to Wilson and veteran Alfred Morris in Week 14.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Redskins' Samaje Perine: Inactive Week 13
Perine (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game against the Eagles.
Perine has only run the ball five times this season for a total of 25 yards, and with Chris Thompson (ribs) back in action Monday, the Redskins are not in need of a fourth running back. They will instead roll with Thompson, Adrian Peterson and Kapri Bibbs in a key divisional matchup. As long as all three aforementioned backs stay healthy, it will be difficult for Perine to see playing time in Washington's backfield this season.

Jeremy McNichols RB | WAS
Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Lands in Tennessee
McNichols signed a contract with the Titans on Monday, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
The Titans signed McNichols off the Broncos' practice squad. The 2017 fifth-round pick will serve a depth role behind Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis and David Fluellen (knee), and will likely receive most of his snaps on special teams going forward.

Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Giants' Saquon Barkley: Says shoulder is fine
Barkley said Monday he doesn't feel any pain in his shoulder, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Barkley was removed for a few plays after taking a hard fall on his shoulder in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 30-27 win over the Bears. He came back into the contest and finished with 125 yards on 24 carries and 21 yards on three receptions, making it three consecutive weeks with triple-digit yardage on the ground and more than 140 scrimmage yards. Barkley does get a potentially tricky road matchup Week 14, facing a Washington defense that held him to 38 yards on 13 carries and 73 yards on nine catches Oct. 28. Of course, the Redskins and Giants have gone in opposite directions since that contest.

Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE
Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Limited role again Sunday
Wilkins had one reception for no yards and no carries in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville. He played five snaps on offense.
Wilkins has had a very limited reserve role the past five games. He'd need an injury to Marlon Mack or Nyheim Hines to get significant carries over the final four regular-season games.
-
Damien Williams RB | ARI
Chiefs' Damien Williams: Logs 19 snaps Week 13
Williams logged 19 of a possible 71 snaps on offense in Sunday's 40-33 win over the Raiders, en route to recording five carries for 38 yards and catching two passes for seven yards.
Meanwhile, Spencer Ware started at running back for the Chiefs on Sunday and rushed for 47 yards and a TD on 14 carries. Going forward, Williams is in line to see complementary work behind Ware, but his upside is modest, with the team expected to sign Charcandrick West, who has plenty of experience in the Kansas City offense.
-
Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Patriots' Cordarrelle Patterson: Logs 53 receiving yards Week 13
Patterson was on the field for eight out of a possible 74 snaps on offense in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Vikings, en route to catching both of his targets for 53 yards and rushing once for six yards.
The Patriots managed to get Patterson some chances to make plays Sunday despite limited snaps, but the return to action of running back Rex Burkhead gives the versatile playmaker one more teammate to compete with for complementary touches in the Patriots offense. Patterson is a hit-or-miss fantasy option in that context.

D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE
Texans' D'Onta Foreman: May not play this year
Coach Bill O'Brien said the Texans still haven't decided if Foreman (Achilles) will be activated from the PUP list, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Foreman returned to practice Nov. 14, opening a 21-day window for the team to decide whether he'll be activated to the 53-man roster or placed on injured reserve. The Texans apparently intend to take it down to the wire ahead of Wednesday's deadline, perhaps favoring a cautious approach with Lamar Miller coming off four 100-yard rushing performances in his past six games. Of course, Foreman might represent an upgrade on No. 2 running back Alfred Blue, who is averaging 3.5 yards on 128 carries.
-
Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Vikings' Latavius Murray: Just four carries Sunday
Murray had four carries for 11 yards and two receptions for three yards in Sunday's loss at New England.
Murray played just 12 snaps compared to 47 for Dalvin Cook (who had nine carries for 84 yards). Cook looked sharp (9.3 YPC) and back to full speed after earlier hamstring issues, so Murray could be relegated to a decreased role in the final four games of the regular season.

Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Packers' Jamaal Williams: Sees boost in activity
Williams had seven carries for 13 yards and four receptions for 14 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. He also returned three kicks for 72 yards in the game.
The 11 touches were just three fewer than Williams tallied in the previous four games, but he was not able to do much with the added opportunities. Fellow running back Aaron Jones had a season-low 36 yards on the ground Sunday, but he still had 15 touches and found paydirt, so he still had a more productive day. Changes could occur in the Packers' offense with Mike McCarthy no longer calling the shots, but Jones remains the top option in the Green Bay backfield. Both running backs will have a nice matchup in Week 14, though, as the Packers square off against a Falcons squad that has allowed opposing running backs to rush for an average of 146.5 yards over the last four games.
