Murray's teammate Alvin Kamara (ankle/knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Murray took full advantage of Kamara's absence last week with a 27-119-2 rushing line and 5-31-0 receiving line in a 36-25 win over the Bears. It sounds like Kamara is headed for a game-time decision, potentially giving Murray another week in a three-down role. The Saints and Cardinals are scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Edmonds could get the start Sunday in New Orleans, with fellow running back David Johnson (ankle) viewed as a game-time decision, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Johnson technically was active for last week's 27-21 win over the Giants, but he was limited to three snaps while Edmonds racked up 150 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns. With backfield reinforcements now on hand in the form of Alfred Morris and Zach Zenner, the Cardinals can put Johnson on their inactive list if he doesn't look healthy before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. The situation will be far more difficult to decipher if Johnson is declared active.

Kamara (ankle/knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Kamara's limited practice participation Thursday and Friday gives him a realistic shot to play, though he may come down to a game-time decision ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Latavius Murray would be in line for another massive workload if Kamara is declared inactive for a second straight week. Meanwhile, Drew Brees (thumb) also is listed as questionable, and tight end Jared Cook (ankle) has been ruled out.

Bawden (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Bawden began the week not practicing but progressed to full participation Friday and appears on track to play Week 8, despite the questionable tag. The 23-year-old has yet to receive a carry this year while catching three of five targets for 14 yards in six games.

Jacobs (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET game against the Texans after returning to a limited practice Friday.

Per Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle, coach Jon Gruden tentatively expects Jacobs -- who has been dealing with a sore shoulder -- to play this weekend, "but we'll have to see how it goes." In the event that Jacobs is limited or made a surprise inactive against Houston on Sunday, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard are next up for carries for the Raiders.

Kamara (ankle/knee) participated in the media-access portion of Friday's practice, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.

Kamara returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant, giving him a shot to suit up for Sunday's game against Arizona. It remains to be seen how the Saints will list the star running back on their final injury report Friday afternoon.

Mattison rushed 13 times for 61 yards and brought in both of his targets for three yards in the Vikings' 19-9 win over the Redskins on Thursday.

With the Vikings largely in control of the contest and focusing on the run game in the second half, Mattison saw his second-largest workload of the season on the ground. The rookie has eclipsed 60 rushing yards in two of his last three games, and although his week-to-week opportunities are far from consistent, Mattison has a good chance of seeing a solid amount of carries in any game where Minnesota has a secure second-half lead, given head coach Mike Zimmer's preference for the ground attack. Mattison will look to put together another strong effort in a Week 9 matchup against the Chiefs a week from Sunday.

Cook rushed 23 times for 98 yards and a touchdown and brought in five of six targets for 73 yards in the Vikings' 19-9 win over the Redskins on Thursday.

Cook made almost as much noise through the air as he did on the ground, checking in second only to Stefon Diggs in receptions, receiving yardage and targets. Cook's exploits in the passing game helped make up for the absence of Adam Thielen (hamstring) and led to his second-best receiving yardage total of the campaign. Cook fell just short of his sixth 100-yard game of the season, but he'll be an elite option in all formats heading into a Week 9 battle against the Chiefs a week from Sunday.

Though Jacobs didn't practice Thursday, he intends to play Sunday against the Texans, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports. "It would have to be broke for me not to play," Jacobs noted of the sore shoulder that has led to back-to-back absences from practice.

That the rookie running back plans to play is highly encouraging, but ideally he'll get at least some reps at Friday's practice. Ultimately, his Week 8 status is not his call, but it sounds like Jacobs believes that his shoulder issue is something he can manage and play through this weekend. He's still likely to end up being listed as questionable by the Raiders, in any case.

Later in the part of practice open to the media, Kamara hauled in a pass from Drew Brees (thumb), according to Katherine Terrell of The Athletic. The activity was enough for Kamara to upgrade from Wednesday's DNP label, but he likely still has to make more progress to get the all-clear for game action. Friday's injury report will have the final word on his odds to suit up Sunday against the Cardinals.
